Remaking tormented bosses S8 and loot quantity

How are you planning on remaking tormented bosses and loot quantity for S8?

I would love to know what your philosophoy is or if we should expect to port to town every 4 tormented boss kills (oneshots) as there is no real fight going on as you know.

Getting 5000 of the same unique also is beneficial to who exactly?

Why dont you just drop only GA items and the occasional mythic instead?

I can get on board with that.

T1 - drop uniques with a chance for ancestrals/mythics

T2/3/4 - only drop ancestrals/mythics. When legendaries would drop, drop gold or nothing.

Torment 4. Uber bosses drop 1 unique with a 2% chance for it to be a uber unique.

Bosses dropping 10 uniques every kill is just, its honestly a meme at this point.
And also that you get your own loot from other peoples summoning mats is also a meme.

so we want loot to become even easier to obtain?

Blows my mind they havent implemented this yet. I am fine with getting no items from tormented bosses most times if it involves not getting crappy sh*tty useless items 99% of the time.

Apologize for the confusion. Drop GA at same rate or a rate that it feels meaningful getting a GA-item/Codex upgrade.

I want loot to be HARD To obtain. Not the loot rain we have now. I even want lower drop rates for mythics and that they should be obtained through other content instead of tormented bosses.

Well yea i can get on board with that too. Now i dont really have a problem with loot raining from the sky as i just can decide what i want to pick up, but im with you, these amounts arent neccessary at all.

We probably need all the loot or we’d run out of materials. We just need a button/filter with Auto Salvage White/Blue, Rare, Leg. as soon as it’s picked up.

Reducing loot drops would have to come with a complete overhaul to the costs of various crafting mechanics. Currently, all those useless uniques are what fund the materials needed to craft/temper and then enchant/masterwork over and over for desired results. Simply nerfing all the drops would have a negative impact on these systems as a whole since right now it’s somewhat balanced.

If blizzard changed those fights to be anything more than 10 secs ppl would scream it takes too long

I mean, they can tweak the amount of mats we get or the material costs. Raining loot isnt the only solution here.

Very true. I would like to get less but higher quality. It does get old salvaging page after page of loot and nary an upgrade to what you have.

I’m one of the old-timers who thought that item hunting in Diablo II was supreme. It could be annoying, but the dopamine rush when even a mundane item like the perfect Enigma base dropped made all the hours you spent farming worth it. The whole “legendary powers” concept is one of the things that makes this game so boring.

Or… Tormented Bosses drops only mythic.
But loose the AIRNG crap. 2% chance for mythic drop that is usable by your char.

If you don’t want to play it, just leave. What is with this mentality of “i hate it, so no one should have it”. People are so self-centered.
