Reintroduce Crushing Blow

Crushing blow deals a percentage of remaining life. We need this in order to do high pits.

It would scale exponentially well. I cannot see Crushing Blow being added that deals a percentage of enemy health. Enemy HP scaling virtually would not matter.

It gets less effective as their current health goes down. You can’t kill something with only 100% crushing blow, you need damage to also chip away as they get low, as it is only a percentage of remaining life.

We literally need this for higher pits. They’re not giving us any other way to complete them.

I mostly agree with your point here.

I think a mechanic that is similar, although perhaps not literally the same, as past iterations of the ‘Crushing Blow’ idea from previous titles in this series would be amazing.

And, speaking to the devs, here: it should absolutely NOT be a Paragon thing, a glyph thing, a rune thing, a gem or jewel thing, etc etc etc… no no no. It needs to be something unlockable as an ability contained within the Skill Tree itself,

or it needs to be some kind of special unlockable that you can power up your character with like (just as a toss-out-there example) as if you were to get 6 out of 7 of your Weapon Expertise nodes unlocked (fully 10/10 'd ) , then as a reward, you would unlock some kind of Crushing Blow option that you could spec-into from that Weapon Expertise screen. (Think of it as though it would be the Next Tier of unlockables from W.E. progression).
