Regarding Tempering

It’s the same or worse than S4, meaning IT SUCKS! Continually bricking items is NOT FUN! I posted this video from Raxxanterax a while ago but the mindless fanboi’s got butthurt and flagged it as spam (so of course I’m going to post t again).

We NEED to be able to reset tempering like we can reset masterworking, there’s no reason why we can’t reset both. Farm for hours to find a good item and ruin it within 10 seconds.

Raxxanterax said it best…

You don’t brick them. They are still usable but not the stats you wanted.

I have good luck with my Tempers. They are not perfect to the number but perfect in every type I wanted.

They are not usable if I can’t integrate them into my build. You still haven’t addressed why we can reset masterworking but not tempering.

I am pretty sure you can still integrate them into your build. It’s just not the way you want it perfectly.

Or not at all then its for a skill you dont use , nor can it be used for the build you are trying to get. The aspect system is great. Tempering is a joy killer and has nothing to do with crafting. It would help to be able to keep the last one if wanted as then sometimes you might end up something that you can use at least until you get the same items again. Its worse with stuff like cooldown on helm and neck as they are rare. Other items are ok to find again but some are once in a season drops unless you can play all the the time, then i guess tempering can be ok.

No we dont. Whats the point of having a loot system if you get what you want everytime.

The new systems better then the old. This far into the season the only ones I could think are complaining are the ones that dropped $50-$200 an item that rolled suboptimal and ended with a 3/5 or 4/5.

Tempering is the only exciting thing with the over simplified incomplete “base” items. Friction is good.

Once you accept an item is incomplete on drop the easier it will be to curb your entitlement.

This is an entry into the arpg genre and RNG is a part of all arpgs.

I agree with this. We have this already with enchantments

The system is what it is. If you spend enough time in the game you will find enough decent gear that tempers with good enough stats to play at the higher levels of the game. Yes; you will brick multiple items during the season but you will find more gear that will temper decently.

Hint: try change “type” to brake death loop. Like say you need % Dodge instead you getting % Armor - trying different section from “defense” tempering and than come back to natural one
