After buying a PC copy for myself and a PS5 copy for my wife and found out that gamesharing isn’t a thing. I have decided to refund the purchase.
She can’t play the game at all because my PS account is tied to my BNet account so here’s a warning to everyone. If you bought the game from battle.net, DON’T BUY A CONSOLE VERSION. Otherwise you will be buying the game twice for yourself.

Couldn’t you have created her own PS account and purchased the game under that?
With the way that Blizzard is handling the entitlements, that is exactly the only way he could do it to give his wife full access on PS5. She has to use her PS5 username and link it to her BNet and buy the game under her profile. I’m just glad that Sony gave a refund. I’ve heard they are difficult to get them from.
Like Zorg said, yes that is what I’m eventually going to have to do, but her PS account is just a placeholder account, she didn’t even have the account prior to yesterday. It doesn’t have any games and all games are tied under my PS account.
So what I decided to do was buy the standard PS5 disc instead of the ultimate digital edition. It doesn’t make sense to me to buy the ultimate edition in a throwaway PS account.
I’m having an identical issue. I didn’t even know my PS5 was linked to my battle.net account and so when the wife purchased it, it kept kicking me out of my PC. We unlinked the PS5 account from my battle.net connections, and now she cannot log in. If anyone finds a workaround let us know! Sony wont refund, I tried lol
edit: she linked her personal battle.net account to the PSN and no go
how did you request a refund for the ps5 copy? none of the channels work
