Given the size of codex powers with the addition of Seasonal powers, farming on repeat for these is not going to be doable for Season 2.
It’s fine. You were going to run them anyway to level up. By season 2, you should have a comprehensive list of dungeons you know you want to run for the build you’re going for. Run those dungeons early and you’ll have those codex before you can even use them. Honestly a non-issue.
I saw that I don’t have any of the base game aspects unlocked anymore and chuckled. There is no way I will farm them all again without any reason. Might unlock a couple for my class but that’s about it.
Everything blocked in the hardcore season character, I will not play as long as I have it like this, and if it does not solve it, I will sue,.
I mean you could always play eternal and be continually flamed by the community for not playing the game correctly, I guess. But yeah, codex farming again, trash. But don’t worry, with the XP nerfs, it will take you even longer to get them all this next time.
The stuff they let you have unlocked (whole map, altars and waypoints to zone main cities) is MORE than enough.
I think you missed that point he has to do them for renown… who the hell wants low rolled aspects.
Don’t to just target the ones you need and then through the course of playing the game accumulate the others?
I am all for changes but I can’t see how this is a problem?
Renown journey IMO is fine. It was the statues that I never wanted to repeat but that is just me.
You unlock a ton through chapter rewards in season pass
sue for what lol they can do whatever the hell they want to the game
its three months. slowly accumulating them just means you lose them again faster.
Do you honestly need non-class Aspects from Codex in a Season?
The only time I use Codex Aspects are when I first start out at a low level. After lv 30 or so, it’s all about the found Aspects because they are so much stronger.
People don’t know how to farm Renown. Here’s how (and you can do it in about 4 hours to max all of them):
- Find 3 friends or like-minded individuals. Even enemies, if you wish.
- Form a party
- Knock the difficulty down to WT1
- Split up and each person take a dungeon, solo
- All party members get Renown AND Aspects for completing the dungeon
- Repeat for all dungeons
…you win! There’s groups on Discord that literally do this. Find one. It really doesn’t take that long to farm back Renown.
I agree. some aspects (especially for sorc like the aspect of hydra) are not available through the dungeon unlock mechanism. upgrading gear really becomes a cost benefit analysis of how much better the gear is considering the cost to remove the aspect, imbue, enchant, and upgrade. sometime it’s only a little better and you just hang on to the aspect for a hopefully better drop.
This isn’t really fun.
It’s pretty much a guaranteed loop from sacred to ancestral loot. I think that commons should have 1-2 attributes that scale all the way up to 100. Then, rare has 3-4 attributes, sacred has 5, ancestral has 6. I think it would be cool to have a really rare specially unique attribute on a common that is just super synergetic with your build.
The key here improving item comparison. I would like to see a “stat highlighter” and filter. I would go to a UI that shows all the stats i would like highlighted for my build and click a check box. Now, when i hover over my loot, i can quickly see if it’s got one of my target stats. green for higher than equipped, red for lower. something along those lines would really make this gameplay loot a whole lot better.
Are they actually unlocked? I did the first 2 chapters but never bothered checking my aspects tab. I did 3 dungeons on my druid (with druid specific powers) and when i go to my codex it only shows the 3. Remember by default, the codex screen shows all of them.
Farming the same dungeons for the entirety of our progression is not fun.
I think this is entirely solved with just a faster horse. The dungeons themselves are trivially easy and pretty fast. I think without considering the travel time, I could do it in two hours tops. The problem is the darn travel to each dungeon. Let us teleport to them with the map and the entire problem is solved.
