This is about pvp rewards that translate into character power. I have found that getting gear from the red dust vendor is awful. I have spent around 200k red dust and it’s like I’m throwing it in the trash. Why did blizzard make it this way? Well I think I know one of the main reasons and it’s actually sad. The world tiers are the main issue with red dust. High level player could drop down to w1 and farm all day with no fear. There’s no one in the pvp zone w1 and even if there was they would prob be w1 level meaning under 50. This is a huge flaw and would leave to ppl earning this pvp currency with little to no risk at all. I think this is why the rng is so bad.
Here’s an easy solution and I hope blizzard does something like this. Each world tier should drop a different seed of hate. World 1 green, World 2 red, World 3 blue, and world 4 black. These seeds are refined into that worlds dust. This way blizzard could ramp up the rng value making the dust actually valuable. I would love to be able to make actually char progress through pvp. I know it’s still not free from exploit because a high level could be in a low tier world and help their friends collect dust. That’s okay though and the reason you should be in a clan or discord so you can call in your high level friends. Let the dust wars begin lol. I would even be okay if the amount of dust needed on rolls went up with world tier. Just want to feel like I’m being rewarded for my pvp efforts and right now it’s like red dust is just about worthless.
Lastly, I think it should at least be on the same level as the obols vendor. Yes this might mean some pvp players gear up faster than pve players. Honestly a player who takes part takes in all content should gear up faster than those that just do some content. PvP is solid content to keep diablo 4 fresh and ppl playing. I hope blizzard can realize it’s value.
