Reconnecting to Diablo IV

I’ve been getting this error since VOH, google searching shows many with the same issues, tried all the fixes that has been posted, even reinstalled bnet and D4 but error still persists.

2 other friends playing on steam have never encountered this error since VOH launch.

Game works fine except not being able to talk to NPC / open minimap and social tab, it’s a permanent “reconnecting to diablo 4” at the top left, which never reconnects.

Playing from SEA region in Americas server, there are 0 issues with my net, can use discord/youtube just fine and the reconnect will just randomly pop up which only affects d4 gameplay.

Checked event viewer, done trace to 8.8.8.8 and also battle.net but showed no issues but the reconnecting to diablo 4 just randomly pops up. I then need to leave game/exit d4 which causes the game to crash/fully close, and relaunch.

same here. Constantly getting “Reconnecting to diablo 4” at the top left. I am on the same region SEA to Americas as well. Also using PC and hardwire internet.

Checked the latency using Cntr-R twice, and I am getting between 90-110 msec. When the error occurs, the latency doesn’t matter, it does not jump to a high value, but remains constant.

Lately, after the last patch, I noticed that the Battlenet desktop has been disconnecting at the same time as the game disconnection. I tried using “exit Battlenet app” when the game start, but the problem persisted.

No Fenris crash except once. No crashes during game.

Yo Bro,
I have the exact same situation like yours. Tried a lot of different recommended fixes, but none of them work. Please let me know if you manage to find the solution. Thanks!

Have any of you tested this problem using a VPN? Or are any of you currently running a VPN?

Just wondering if it has something to do with location.

I don’t have a VPN, but I am playing from Singapore, using M1 internet.

I am also encountering this issue, Singapore M1 as well.

Same here. Singapore and M1.

I find that interesting.

It could be a regional issue. If you can, try a VPN and see if that forces the connection to a different server. Yes I know it will increase the latency, but if nothing else test it to see if it fixes the issue. If so, then it has to be regional to you with the server in your area.

Since many having the same problems with M1 including myself. save to say. the ISP is the issue.

It is happening in US too.

This problem was solved for so long and now it’s back. Finally got a good realm run where you earn extra chests by killing wave after wave or hordes and I was up to 14 chests after non-stop fighting - about 45-50 mins - when all of the sudden oh joy lost server connection.

It seems like when blizzard implements server stability patches that it does exactly the opposite

This has been happening much more frequently with each stability issue patch.

Did you guys play previous seasons? Any issue until this season?

I have never had this issue until this past weekend. I have been playing since Diablo I. Game is unplayable for past 3-4 days. Battle.net has been disconnecting as well. I have reinstalled everything and numerous power cycles. Tried several things on internet. No help at all. This is US. Comcast Xfinity is provider.

I’m having the same issue. I didn’t have it before Vessel of Hatred. I keep getting disconnected from the server, and it keeps doing it at the worst time. I was just about to open a chest and boom, disconnected.

Woah that’s interesting, I’m also on M1, anyone tried to contact M1 regarding this?
It seems to affect M1(based on us affected), my friends are on other providers singtel/starhub.

Hello All
Any Singapore M1 kaki observed improvement since yesterday? I seems to have a lot lesser “Reconnecting to Diablo IV” since yesterday. Wondering is it just me

I cannot even complete a 5 minute Pit run without a disconnect. US, East Coast. I know my internet is fine the entire time.

The game is offically unplayable. I tried playing for 3 hours this morning and got dropped 12 times.

Unplayable.

Yes, but are you getting an actual message in game saying Reconnecting to Diablo IV?

If not, then you have a different problem. This seems to be primarily affecting a certain region of players.
