Still hoping this is something they’re working on.
For those not familiar with the Rebirth feature, this is from D3 where you can retain the same character name and slot (in our case, an Eternal Realm character) and have it be able to play in the current Season by soft resetting the character back to level 1 and stripped off their gears and only retaining their character-bound as well as account-wide renown progress.
One can hope it gets added before S3, but that’s just me being hopeful. Realistically though, when do you think they’ll finally let us do this?

you do know this is already in the game right?
you can delete your level 100 guy, remake it with the same name aka turns into level 1
all your renown and altars all come over
and you can click the character toggle thing and move it up or down on the slot so it can appear in the same slot.

Side Quests, mainline story quests, etc. which is tied to character-based renown (not account-wide renown) is not carried over.

I for one, requested it in the beta. I always enjoyed the Rebirth feature, even if it added nothing to the game itself.
Now this Rebirth will roll-over and tally character stats, like Time Played.

Well, I’m glad it finally happened. I was going to ask about gear but I’m so far behind on it that I’ll just let everyone bask in finally getting it.
I’d give you mine, but I’m SSF.
I was like we have it in S15 saw the reference to S3 looked at the date and saw it was a 3 year old necro bump.

Well it was an acknowledged Necro Bump. Intentionally done, just to highlight how long it’s been requested.
Basic Day 1 feature found in a previous Diablo game? Only took 14 Seasons and two expansions to roll out! That’s ludicrous! ROLL OUT!

It’s been repeatedly requested. I personally never needed it as I just use the stock options for characters most of the time and slap on armor over my ugly face. But to each their own!

This thread is so old it was marked as ‘Tracking’ for me, before I had gone into my settings to put the default to ‘Normal’. Good times.

I believe it was requested before the game even came out. They literally take years to respond to feedback. It’s embarassing.
People probably suggested or hoped for it when D4 was announced. All the praise they’ll be given for it is embarrassing for them. 3 or 4+ years. Wow. Good job guys. Good jo…I can’t even say it more than once.
