blizzard is gonna be selling cosmetics and stuff, so they need the players to advertise the skins they bought to other players so even more players will want to buy them.
so guys stop complaining about lack of single player modes, it wont happen.

There is a better reason. They can control the piracy and force people to pay to play. It was never about providing a better in game experience, it is all to protect corporate profits.

Real easy to get around a sign in page. Really hard to play a game when the world is server side.

Still deciding if I want to refund my second game license. Waiting to see what the patch notes are like before release. If they suck, then I will refund this license too. The only thing really keeping me here at this point is my D1/D2 nostalgia. That unfortunately is hanging on by a thread, it will be sad to see it killed off, but maybe it is time for me to give up hope. They have 2 months to try and save this franchise/company for me. If this game sucks, Blizzard is pretty much dead to me.

This is D4. If you want nostalgia you have D2(R) for that.
Nothing needs to be…saved. Improved yes, not saved. Again, with this …mentality maybe is better for you to refund and move on.

That being said, I really do not care about single player mode, I care more about the in game experience which is just Diablo Immortal / Lost Ark Rip off with a Diablo 3 skin wrapped around it. They had a decade to re-invent the genre, and all they managed to do is make a d3 clone with stolen parts from other games in the genre. It is typical Activision game design with cash grab written all over it.

I’m neither for or against adding a single player mode in D4, I dont really care. I just find it funny how people are asking for a single player game mode in an MMO, its like walking into a burger shop asking why there isint pasta in the menu, if you want pasta go to a pasta shop lol.
Agreed. They should make WoW offline too and just let me solo raids. I just want to be able to play online games offline.
Well duh its a publicly traded corporation they have a fiduciary responsibility to make as much profit as legally as possible what you want is a charity produced game and well don’t hold your breath.

Because they said it would not be an mmo… they said it will be always online but it should be rare you see anyone. We want it to feel bleak and alone like Diablo, there will be world events that you can participate in like world bosses, but if you want to play alone that’s certainly an option… beta was not like that. They promised not an mmo, but beta felt like world of Diablo lite

pffft!!! The amount of salt being generated is epic. Only thing better would be if down the line blizz implements something like EHG is planning and d4 then has open trade for those that want to go through the process of actually playing the game in order to earn the right to trade bis items. But that eliminates their ability to build their FG bank account.

No. It’s really all about selling cosmetics this time. Your cosmetics are worth less if you can’t show them off in town or in the world. It increases the demand for buying stuff in the shop by a significant factor.

Where did OP say anything about offline? You realize “single player” isn’t the same, no? Your patronizing reply isn’t so relevant after all.
I think OP talks about the ability to turn off seeing other players on screen, not an offline mode, seems like a misunderstanding.
But anyway, it won’t happen. How else do they sell cosmetics if you can turn off not seeing other players?
