Realmwalker still needs one final change

Meowr…s!

The latest patch (once it finally finishes downloading at… *checks* 5 MB/sec… brought some welcome changes to the realmwalker event, but there is one last change that really, really needs to be made, and that is to make the realmwalker not stop moving when swiping at players in front of them. The reason the events are taking so bloody long is because players are either unaware, unable to learn (because of language barriers), or just plain trolling by constantly standing in front of the realmwalker and causing it to swipe at them. Thing is, the realmwalker stops moving in order to swipe and it happens frequently enough that the event duration, i.e. the time it takes for the realmwalker to get to its destination, is nearly doubled as a result.

Please, please make it so that it either stops swiping at players or doesn’t stop moving in order to swipe at a player. Nobody listens when I tell them to stay behind the realmwaker so it doesn’t constantly stop moving. This isn’t World of Warcraft where there are actual consequences for not cooperating with other players in group oriented content and it’s getting very tiresome having this event take so long to get through each time we do it.

Wait, it stops based on players? I thought those were just scripted into its lumbering.

Nope. I’ve done this event solo many times and it never once stops to swipe unless you’re in front of it. Remaining behind it lets it just continue walking.

I’ve never actually seen anybody else at one of these.

And it seems this is one of the changes made. I purposely stood in front of the realmwalker to see if it was still swiping when I noticed it wasn’t doing so when other players stood in front of it. It now just continues walking so players can’t inadvertantly or purposely troll the event into taking longer than it was meant to. This makes dealing with environmental threats a bit easier as a side effect, so all in all the changes appear to have really sped up the event.

Now the only thing really missing is the “here’s an active portal” icon from the world map if the realmwalker is dead and there is still time left on the zone’s rotation timer.
