Realmwalker improvement ideas

So we are in VoH, season 6!
Well, that was the most excitement in a while, however, after doing a single Realmwalker event the excitement is plummeting.

It’s just so darn slow, it takes way too long, and more than anything:
Grey health bar on enemy = not fun
Red health bar on enemy = fun

I don’t care if you give the Realmwalker 90% damage reduction, but give us the idea that we may be able to become so powerful that we can bring it to its knees while it’s still walking.

If we are then strong enough / have a strong friend with us that can kill it faster than the current walking/waiting period: awesome, we feel like we’re doing well.

Right now I might as well do nothing and just dodge the monsters for 5 minutes until the grey healthbar turns red, and only engage in actual gameplay from there on.

Additionally: what’s up with these endless tunnels, it’s just another skin on nightmare dungeons. Many people don’t like nightmare dungeons, plus we already have nightmare dungeons, the Pit, story dungeons, dungeons for aspects, ……

Infernal Hordes was a massive success because… it’s not a bunch of tunnels. Did the team even consider that the season theme should not be a time delayed entry method for dungeons?…

The time it takes to walk is for people late to the spawn. Yeah, it be nice to down it early but it’s whatever.

As for the actual dungeon, I kinda wish you got to make a choice in what portals to take that are found in the dungeon, similar to the risk/reward of last season.

They could also make the timer land at 0:00 when the realmwalker becomes killable, and have the walking happen during the countdown

The maiden is a great fight. You put in your 2-3 summoning mats. Within 1-2 min she spawns and you kill her with a few adds with rewards for immediate gratification.

Realmwalker spawns small adds, immune and ignores you walks away. Takes several minutes There is no reward after the fight. It’s a portal… Perhaps the reward is inside…

Inside your met with more portals that are a giant waste of time. I would rather they have the reward sitting there than a portal. There is no point in fighting any of the mobs the final chest is what we’re after. This whole process takes 10-15 min and the reward is 3 potions.

Perhaps it would be more fun if the potions did anything. Currently they only seem to add 15% more exp so they are almost mandatory.

Why is it that every season they need to be reminded that slow = bad?

Just make the rewards worth the wait.

It’s slow and immune to allow other players to show up.

If the portal gave good loot no one would care.

I do it just to get the rep Opals.

The “reward” are those, and what you get killing when you use one.
