Realm-wide Paragon Levels?

What does Paragon points being Realm wide exactly mean? It seems that the points are going to be shared between all characters in a specific Realm? If I keep switching between characters, does it mean that I have to reassign each time my Paragon points?

I do only one build per season. It could have been an issue for my Eternal builds…but we know that Eternal is mostly dead now. For those using several d builds during a season, it does not seem practical at all. But, maybe I am just not understanding how it is going to work.

At level 60, you gain paragon points up to 300+ (up from 226). Sharing across realm meaning for any additional character on the same realm, you get to assign 300 pts instaneously when reaching lvl 60.

Its very straight forward, shouldnt be a question.

The realm wide paragon system is meant to be an alt catch up mechanic. Level your main and grind all 325 paragon points then when your alt hits level 60, the new level cap, they will get a huge surge in player power.

Thanks for the feedback. Having to reassign the points each time would have been a terrible design. But it is just what I understood from “all Paragon Levels earned will be shared across all your characters”. Maybe the problem is just my understanding of English.

Would not surprise me if there was 225 paragon points per account and have to respec when relogging to an alt.

Another use is for people who don’t always max out characters before starting a new one.

So for example you level a rogue to 60 and get 10 paragon. You then level a sorc to 60 and it gets those 10 but you play some more and earn another 50. Switch back to the rogue and now it also has those 50. So now you level a spiritborn and it will have 60 and anything additional you earn your rogue and sorc will get.

I’m actually really impressed they are embracing alts. That was a core idea of D2 where you had this team of characters where as in D4 up till now they really tried to force you into one.

There will be an armory coming soon btw

No sure they have been forcing one character only. Giving a season Resplendent Spark to each build was a way to push player to create several to forge Mythics.

If you count abusing alts to farm sparks, that’s not really playing alts. I’m talking about the QOL of actually playing them.

We can call it abusing but it was still an intentional move to push players to create more characters. They probably noticed that most only have one per season (…like me).

But yet it is a question. Apparently he did not understand the verbage. Straightforward question, should’nt be problem just to answer.
