Razorplate thoughts?

Found a nice 800+ razorplate with 1000 throns , my build is HOTA, should i use it? it quit fun when things die without touching it…

you mean 10.000 thorns, 1.000 is already level 40 thorns during berserking entchantment during berserking on a 2h weapon

its trash, salvage it.

It is most definitely not trash.

I use it in my WW build for speed farming. Quite helpful, though in higher tiers as a standalone source of thorns it’s quite weak

Rob guy on YouTube once tested incomplete Thorns build. It worked pretty well without half the items with thorns affixes in Sigil 52

Looking myself to Thorns pushing when I get all necessary affixes on items

the biggest issue with razorplate is it loses all other stats. you get the thorns but body is a huge spot for reduction and armor bonuses. you will lose alot of survivability. yes things kill themselves but is it worth it when you also die?

On its own is not incredible but if you use it with the Needleflare Offensive (thorns dmg deals has a 40% chance to deal dmg to all enemies around you) + More thorns while berserking on a 2H weapon that adds another 7000 + tough as nails passive + 3lvls tough of nails passive on necklace.
Than add steal grasp ideally with ancients oath’s unique weapon to pull them towards you and then you’ll see the fireworks
Personally I love it, I think it’s the best passive dmg on barbarian. At lvl 82 I can one shot packs of lvl 98-100 only with thorns. They basically kill themselves I just watch :))

Good luck

Thorns was super good.

Then blizzard nerfed it into uselessness during alpha and again during closed beta. Only every other class gets nice things in this game.
