Rawhide and iron chunks not fix
Blizzard seriously!! You get genuine feedback from players that put in way more time than any QA team you have or the devs. Listen to what is being said and fix it. Swallow your pride for once and implement the changes we ask for.
Do whispers. Find 2 dungeons, complete them for 5 each then turn in. Tons of mats including rawhide and iron. They wont be like 1K at a time but the drop in about 5 a piece and can keep dropping for up to 20 seconds.
you need thousands though, depending on rng it’s in the hundreds of thousands. . . literally, that’s the problem with so few of them.
one 12/12 masterwork is 1k rawhide alone. 10 of those would be 10k at bare minimum. that’s assuming rng goes your way and you only need to do it once and never reset. Not counting rerolling stats on items. In most instances our going to be spending at least 5k per 12/12 masterwork on the low end. and depending on how reliant your build is on specific breakpoints to function that can go up considerably.
Add in the amount it takes to reroll for skills, or cdr on gear? the amount you’ll need even at 40 per attempt for a single amulet is gong to be pretty high. for the amount you get, that’s not really acceptable.
Yep, can confirm still only receiving 1 rawhide from salvaging legendary armor on T4. Exact same amount as before this patch.
Why don’t you explain how you think you’re right because I don’t think you understand what happened here.
Can confirm, nobody reads patch notes.
The gear that gets auto-salvaged when dropped gives more rawhide and iron chunks. Not gear that you salvage by yourself.
In case you don’t know what I’m referring to, Torment does not drop blue or yellow or white items they are auto-salvaged and you get materials instead. These are the materials that were buffed.
What the hell is this ? we gonna be gatekept from frikking Rawhide and Iron ? are u serious BLIZZARD ? how is THIS so hard to fix, I don’t get it…
I could be wrong but I think this is a server-side change they need to make and they cannot make it until everyone is off of the old patch environment. Try again in a few hours
I got 200 iron chunks and 250 or so rawhide from a single NMD, no events just A to B.
I can agree iron (and baleful fragments) are in short supply but doing whispers I got about 1700 in an hour or so, and the thing is you are not supposed to be able to just stand at the BS and masterwork all your gear at once 12/12. I don’t get this mentality of everybody wants it all instantly, why even bother playing the game?
Because this young generation is the “I want everything now” and they dont really appreciate actually working for something. God forbid, they have to do something for themselves.
it’s the amount that you need and relative time overall.
say it takes 80k rawhide to finish the build. and you get 1.7k an hour. your spending 47 hours on farming rawhide alone. and that’s assuming you do 10-11 12/12’s and all of their rerolls within the materials requried of 8 12/12 attempts. when realistically it’s noticeably higher.
add in the gold farming for the rerolls themselves on top? well . . . that’s prett considerable. . . so lets go over how long someone would have in say 2 months to build a character, if they played for the full 2 months.
60 days * 2 hours a day = 120 hours.
47 hours - raw hide and iron chunks. you’ll also get gold in that timeframe and probably several GA’s. likely one or two for your build.
150m per slot for rerolling costs - 1.5T gold. . if we asume a good 700m was obtained from when farming raw hide. we still have 800 to make up for. at 15m per 10m or so within the infernal horde. your looking at about another 9 hours. we’re up to about 57, so about a months time. and that’s only the masterworking alone, not even the other aspects.
if we have 3 primary slots that will take rerolls for stats. passive on amulet, and skill ranks to chest and gloves (sometimes legs too). and then the leveling up of paragon glyphs. those all cost raw hide and gold as well (iron chunks on amulets case). a rerolling of a piece for a passive can take 50 attempts on the very low end. most instances it’s many times that. how long would it take to farm the resources for those? at present material drop rates? and is that reasonable amount of time in your estimation? . . Streamers will finish this in a week or two because they have the time, resources, and often other similar minded individuals to play and ramp the speed up in some cases. but for someone who can’t spend their lives on a game any longer? is this time reasonable? and to be gated mostly by one of the most basic resources at that.
this isn’t even counting if you play more than 1 build
yes they were. have you seen how you get more from salvaging than you did previously?
Considering I get 200+ Rawhide per NMD, which takes sub 2min per run; if you’re only getting 1.7K Rawhide per hour now, you’re doing something wrong.
60/2 = 30 * 200 = 6K
80K rawhide should take you just over 13 hours to farm. Not 47. And wtf are you even spending 80K rawhide on to begin with.
What the hell is auto salvage ?
Blues and Yellows no longer drop in Torment difficulty from monsters. Instead, they are “auto-salvaged” and drop materials instead.
A ok, i think i got some blue/yellows from a chest, didn’t knew that
Yep, not fixed at all. Pitiful amounts still, and I do whispers.
a full masterwork 12/12 is 1290 raw hide.
4/12 - 230
8/12 - 660
12/12 - 1290
you want 9-12 12/12 MW’s (9 for SB, 10 sorc, 11 rogue, 12 barb), if we go with 10. that’s 12,900 by itself. assuming no fails. every fail on 4 is another 230, fail on 8 is 660, and fail on 12 is the full 1290. It’s an assumption that you’ll finish the masterworking within that amount. it could take more or less.
This bottleneck is the same as veiled crystals in a prior patch. The drop/salvage rate was tiny and the crafting costs for them unreasonable. It wasn’t resolved until both the drop rate was greatly increased and costs reduced.
The current change is nowhere near enough to be effective.
