Can the people working on this really not find 5 Minutes to test this? Please do, it’s beyond broken.
Go to world tier IV where the enemies don’t just stand around, or better the pit where they actually hurt. You CANNOT hit enemies in melee range with this ring equipped. It simply shoots over their heads. If you try to move away, even dodge, they instantly close the gap and you can do this tedious dance for a loooong time before you manage to hit them somehow, if you’re still alive.
Better still, try this on a controller. Not only does the targeting keep picking totally random enemies that aren’t even on screen instead of the ones you’re aiming at, but it will consistently shoot above their heads and miss completely. If they are moving even slowly, forget ever landing a hit under any conditions.
At least before this last hotfix (and the patch too) there was a little spread so you could hope to hit an enemy with some projectiles and apply a CC and eventually kill them, it was tedious and it sucked, but it almost worked. Now all the projectiles will always miss and it’s impossible to play.

I damn near posted the same exact thing. This is absolutely ridiculous.
I swear this game was made by AI. No human can be this stupid and not test the changes for 5 to 10 minutes and not notice any of the problems stated.
Can’t hit mobs in front of you within 10 feet. Before the patch they had to be right up on you. AoE is gone. It doesn’t ricochet hardly ever. Can’t kill anything once it’s within 10 feet without playing a dancing game for a minute or 2. Then go to the next pack and do it again.
Still shooting off or near off screen. Want to hit the mob right in front of me and it targets the furthest mob away and off screen. They didn’t fix anything and then made it worse.
And I know they either nerfed our armor or buffed the damage of mobs or both. T60s within minutes just cruising along. Doing T80s just fine. Now getting one shot by trash mobs in T61. Nothing has change but the patch. Same gear, even upgraded 2 of them and now trash mobs have enough damage to one shot in T60s. This is a joke.

But after reading this censored - well - I’ll take your bugged dmg everytime with my sorc.
The D4 devs do seem to have a problem with ranged damage, which is odd, since I know for sure that the D1 and D3 devs did not. I’m not sure about D2 because I chose to play an amazon, thinking it was closest to the D1 rogue.
I bought the D4 pre-order version and played all of the betas. The nerf bats were flying left and right, so I decided to play a sorc at release BECAUSE the theory crafters deemed them mediocre, so were surely safe from the nerf bat. Back then, ranged rogues were difficult to play, even at low levels.
Naturally, the sorc build I chose was nerfed hard.
The devs have made the skill system so complicated that even they can’t figure it out.
