They need to fix class balance back to where it was prior to VOH and stat squish, fix a lot of bugs and buff the currently existing difficulties way up before they can even consider adding new tiers, imo
good, hope they start with you.
“I am playing broken class and game is too ezzz…ueeeee” Start a druid at HC, there you go, fixed that for ya.
They already announced nerfs to Spiritborn. However, they also announced new witch powers next season which will buff ALL classes. That further pushes the idea of adding more difficulty levels for the increase in power to all classes.
TLDR: Those who took advantage of SB exploits are now bored. Please give them more challenge.
I wish “difficulty” in this game was much more than just pumping numbers up of the same enemies doing the same attacks. It would be fantastic if they worked on more functional ways to battle.
As it stands now you have movement and attacking, with the only deliberate defenses being certain skills, chosen passive defenses, and dodging.
If there were direct player controlled defenses such as blocking and deflecting that would imply that combat would work in a way that required more attention and timing. Combine this with enemy weaknesses and resistances to certain damage types or player tactics, and then Diablo might have some actual difficulty beyond plowing through numbers.
I think I am about at my limit of this mind numbing slog of wiping screen after screen of worthless enemies. There are some bosses that I think are well done and provide an engaging fight. The trouble is you have to be at just the right number range of damage and defenses to feel it. Too high and you wipe them, too low and it’s just nearly impossible.
Anyways, I hope the people developing this game have much more in mind than the portion of the “community” who just wants mindless screen wiping.
I really hope this is a troll post… or OP is really out of touch with the game intent and the place Spiritborn is in this season.
I’m on board. They need to add altars of lilith to each torment, though.
Calm down there Satan.
Yes! And to activate those altars they should add 3 sub-altars that change location on the map every 6.66 mins.
Ok don’t play with us, you’re a dev in disguise.
The stats are fine (player side) it’s the way the calculations are done that could be the problem.
The stays were never a problem, Blizzard just used “stat squish” as a smoke screen to cover up that there was no actual power creep from expansion gear, and in the process they screwed over eternal players.
I compare the difficulty tiers to Chaosbane arpg, this is basic level stuff, Very hard campaign feels like it, not like D4 which in five minutes it feels like easy, and even more so when you bother to print and temper gear lol, it’s like difficulty is for XP after that point, so it forces me to abandon the campaign to play penitent just so its somewhat more challenging until torment.
Certainly providing basic difficulty levels choice in a arpg, would give us a actual game to play.
Very Grateful for the game and the teams efforts and improvements which are noticed, and graphics improvements etc are great.
The stat squish didn’t work and it would have never worked with Blizzard’s design philosophy of multiplicative damage and introducing more power creep with each new season.
