I’ve come back to this season from the beginning of vessels, and I’m a bit lost on the necessities when it comes to leveling. I have my companions. I have my boss powers, I’m leveling the potions, ect. Am I supposed to be just doing the new season events? Am I missing an aspect of progression?
Sometimes there’s a lot of info and I can’t take it all in. I just don’t want to miss a part of progression, like the boss abilities that would set me back, and I’m also a bit unsure what to do besides the new season events.
Think to yourself, what do YOU want to do.
What ever that is, what ever Your end goal is, you should follow it. If you run across an issue to reach Your goal then you have an objective to clear it by doing what ever you need to do to reach it.
For example, if you want to get Lord Zir boss powers, but your not powerful enough, then you have to grind/loot find to become powerful enough to do it.
How you do that is up to you.
Once you reach any particular goal you have set, find another one and focus on that.
You also have the Season journey to help guide you on what you need to do.

I’m just worried about missing an element of player power. My ultimate goal is to be the most powerful I can be, so for instance if I missed figuring out about boss powers early, and realized later in progress about them, it’d be more of a pain to level them in that scenario.
I’m more unsure if I should do dungeons, or what events are worth doing, but I guess I have some homework to do. I have a build I’m using for leveling. Perhaps I need to study it more.
I see.
You may have to do some research on each Boss Powers (You tube) and figure out which one you want to Focus on. That should help you.
I’m thinking perhaps Belial is the most powerful one, but you’ll need help getting that particular boss power to level.
Ask in trade chat if somebody can help you beat him. There is a User here by the name of Nyurei who helped me get That particular boss power. If you see him , ask him. (OR) Anybody else who’s willing to help.
Despite the negativity you may see on the forums and/or people complaining about it, people DO play/enjoy D 4.

Boss powers, gear with ga’s on good affixes, tempered gear, masterworked gear, sockets (runes and gems), skill tree, paragon (upgraded glyphs), mercenaries, class specializations, the correct uniques & aspects. And don’t forget the alters of Lilith and the alter things in Nahantu if you have VoH.
I think that’s all.

The class specializations I don’t remember. This is for the weapons right? I think that seems passive while using that particular weapon? I have the mercenaries, I have the boss abilities for this build. Unique’s and aspects I remember.
The Alter of Lilith I’ve done those already I believe unless we have to redo them again per season. I do have VoH and I think I did those the first season of VoH.
Alright it’s not too far off from what I thought. Thank you.
@Starless Yea, forums are always crazy, in game ppl seem to be enjoying themselves.

Oh, Azure Ogre is very correct!
Here is something that can help with progression/loot/exp.
Follow the Tree of Whispers objective.
Anything that Tree of whispers tells you to do, you should do it (The easy 1s at first until your powerful enough to do harder ones).
Legion events/Incursions and other Tree of whisper events that give you more points really should help you out.

Cool thanks, I’ve been finishing a lot of those whisper progress bars for the cache’s, so I guess I’m doing the right stuff. Thanks again for helping me out.
Classes have different mechanics. So Barbarian has the arsenal system where you get points for using certain weapons and can eventually choose a buff that’s up no matter what weapon you use. Rogue has ways to mark enemies or build up focus points etc.
They can be pretty powerful.

Barb is what I’m playing so that’s perfect. I’m going to watch a video on the Arsenal system right now. TY
