Question on the Dev's thoughts about class balance

So as the game was about to open up into Early Access, Rob released his video on the Barb that he was able to min/max in his extended Beta Access. He was apparently the only one of the testers to lvl to 100 and min/max their gear. Most of the others that we heard from were anywhere from 50’s-70’s. So no one had any idea of the strength of those classes.

So Rob’s video goes live and the world erupts in calls for nerfs on the official forums, Reddit, and Twitter. What happened, They immediately cut our survivability in half, cut our resource generation in half, completely Thanos snapped Shout CDR out of existence, and a few other changes. I am all for Bug and Exploit fixes but they went and gutted it. Then when Ben’s video on Uber Lilith came out, they disable and changed aspects. Again at that time, we hadn’t seen anything from the other classes.

Now that we are almost a month in and people have actually leveled and min/maxed their builds. We have videos of Sorc’s, Rogue’s, and Necro’s deleting Uber Lilith in 10-30 secs. Druids are doing her sub 2 min and Barbs from 2 of the best players in the world in perfect min/maxed gear are doing her in 9-10 min. There are no cries for the other classes to be nerfed into the ground.

For anyone who has not seen the crazy dps of these builds. Here is a video where Rob highlights them for some comparison. Necro starts at 2:33. HOTA QUAKE NERF REVERTED & General Balance State Diablo 4 - YouTube

So my question is, Did the Dev’s do a knee jerk reaction and over nerf the Barb because of the global outcry? I have not heard or seen anything about reverting some of those sweeping changes. Is anything being discussed?

Also now that we see whether though overturned abilities/interactions or exploits, Are Sorc’s, Rogue’s, and or Necro’s being looked at for Nerfs? Should they be? Why is it ok for 4 of the 5 classes able to destroy the Pinnacle content and not the 5th?
