Question for you all out of curiosity

Dear fellow gamers, I’d like to present a question for discussion. Suppose Blizzard were to release an official statement expressing their commitment to take the game offline with the purpose of dedicating time to enhancing its overall quality. During this period, they would work diligently to refine and innovate, aiming to present an even more exceptional gaming experience upon its eventual re-release. This approach would be akin to the successful transformation that was undertaken for FF14 Online. I’m genuinely interested in knowing your opinions and regarding such a prospective would you all be open to that?

First of all, thanks for asking…my expertise is wasted in these forums most days. I’ll reply later with an opinion on this delicate, yet abrasive, subject.

I’d prefer companies just finish their games in the first place, but that is apparently too much to ask. But sure. Go ahead, got plenty to play in the meantime.

The game world doesn’t have to be rebuilt like FFXIV, I don’t feel like they really need to take it down to patch things in?

They also need someone in the leadership role that has an actual vision and a lot of passion. Naoki Yoshida isn’t going to come and help save Diablo…

They don’t need to take the game offline to fix it.
Just give us offline mode. and be more respectfull with the player base by actually listening to us.

The game is much more closer to FFXIV 2.0 than at is to the disaster of FFXIV 1.0.

I mean this would be ideal to get all the kinks worked out but there is one issue with this idea. That is that Blizzard isn’t Square Enix. Blizzard doesn’t know what fun looks like and needs the player base to hold their hand through the process. If they were to shut down the game temporarily, they would fix everything that the players have suggested and from what their graphs show where the bugs are at. Then they would release it again and things will be fixed up until player feedback and nothing more substantially new to make the game more fun to play.

Overall this would be a terrible idea.

A.k.a the FFXIV phenomena, I dont believe in santa or UAP’s/UFO’s and they aren’t Square enix because they don’t have a rabid fanbase like japan does but hypothetically if they did they would actually win a little bit of my confidence back and i might consider spending money with blizzard activision in the future.

I don’t think it needs that much of a revamp and don’t believe it will happen so long as shareholders expect quarterly earnings.

I don’t think they need to entirely rework the game.
No need to bring it all down. There are plenty of people, myself included, playing and enjoying the game right now as is.
Just make it better with time. After I’m done with this season, I’ll probably go to other games and when I come back it’ll be a bit better and more exciting all over again.

I will reply to you like blizzard does: say a lot about nothing then dance around the answer, you good with that ?

They are never going to make D4 offline.

My god…
What is this even?

You are comparing game that released 2010 and got reborn 3 years later! THREE YEARS LATER!

And you ask this about Diablo4, which has been out for 2 months? TWO MONTHS?

Is this even fair comparison? Honestly, i want to know!

I have no intention of provoking anyone or causing anger. My question is purely hypothetical. I didn’t express any hatred towards the game or advocate disregarding everything. To illustrate my point, I used a metaphor, referencing how Final Fantasy 14 initially had significant issues upon release, and the developers acknowledged it and worked hard to re-release an improved version, which was positively received. Once more, please note that my suggestion is not to be taken seriously; it’s simply a playful remark.

I do not have fun playing the game, so ofc. would i be open for a try to make it better.

But i think their and my idea of a good Diablo game are too different as that i would like their new version.

One word: REFUND.

Need to fill this up to meet the 20 character limit.

I’d probably just quit forever.
