I very much like that the Dev team has listened and has seemed to make steps to improve the quality of Druid.
However i also feel something has been overlooked, when you use the Grizzly rage ultimate you get locked into the form and skills are taken off your bar that are not for that form.
But this also means companion skills are removed, even though it is not you that are using the skill it is the companion.
Can the Dev team advise if they will look into allowing the companion skills to be cast by the player while in this form, to me it makes the best sense because there will generally always be one slot that will be empty due to the number of form skills in the tree, companions, especially for the warewolf, are much needed and assist the player much with funtions that cannot be provided any other method (CC, poison application over AOE, vulnerable, among other things)
It’s called grizzly rage and goes all in on the shapeshifting. There’s 2 other abilities if you still want to use companion abilities. They aren’t really impactful enough to matter them missing for 10-20 seconds.
Or are you talking about the companions vanishing entirely because it is no longer on your skill bar? If that’s the case then I agree.
No they are still there but, i feel like it missses synergies so much.
Warewolf especially, when spreading rabies, your wolves must attack a rabies target then another, so you want to comand them to attack and then they spread.
Or Ravens applying vulnerable to a target area
For PVP Vinecreeper applying immobilise - considering the lack of movement possibilites for the class.
Alternatively if there was an aspect that was something like “leader of the pack” that made companion skills shapeshift skills that would also work for people to have that option.
Their cooldowns are almost as long as the skill itself. Just use the command skill and then the grizzly rage.
I also don’t understand how can a bear attack a Druid in the first act. Such class related events should influence the main story.
It would be cool to see different type of bears in WereBear form (like black bear, brown bear, polar bear, maybe even a panda bear) which could be bought as cosmetics.
Maybe a heretic idea, but I always expected to more animal form for the Druid. I really hope every class get more skill options in future expansions.
Phoenix / Thunderbird / Eagle / Griffin - a floating bird which push away enemies with wings and can create additional fire damage / electric damage with more skills. I believe the wind magic would fit more into the Druid gameplay.
Viper / Lizard - a poisonous viper (like the vipers in Valley os Snakes from D2)
Mole - Druid goes underground to escape from the battle or he/she could initiate earth based spells like landslide when shows up from the groun and turns back to human
Hedgehog / Porcupine / Armadillo - protects itself in sphere form, player can’t move, but after certain damage it would shoot spikes in every direction
Maybe some of these could be unlocked as temporary season long skills or there could be different “clans” of Druids.
Gameplay wise they could introduce floating / jumping for all classes so ground based spells or traps could be avoided.
As long as the companions stay summoned during grizzly rage then I’m okay with it. GR doesn’t last that long even if you prolonged it with passives. You should be able to cast your companion actives and then use your ultimate after.
Question,
Do grizzly rages bear skills/ passives apply when the skills are bought? Or does grizzly rage bear skills become locked as maxed out bear skills with no passives.
