I’m not sure if this was asked, and I did try searching and couldn’t find a reply to what I’m searching for. My question pertains to if you skip the campaign on a seasonal character is that character not allowed to go back to play the campaign later like you could in Diablo 3? I know most would just not care, but sometimes its nice to have the option, which is what I liked about Diablo 3 that if you wanted, you could go back after you finished the season and do the campaign with that character if you wanted. Will that be an option in Diablo 4 for seasonal characters that skip the campaign at the start or are they just forever excluded from the main story campaign if they skip?

Good question, but skipping the campaign you skipp all the exp and rewards that it gives right, so you isnt it bad for your leveling process?
I’d imagine you’d still be able to. It would just unlock the endgame features without having to complete the story I would think
You only need to complete the campaign once to be able to skip it on all future characters, seasons included.
I am not 100% sure but my guess is that if you choose to skip the campaign at the beginning of a season with a given character, that’s it, it’s over for that season (at least with that character). It does not look like there are modes (adventure, campaign…) to choose from as in D3.
That’s a good question, I think you don’t get the xp, but what I got from the live stream was that you got to jump right into the season instead of having to complete the campaign first to unlock the season play. The campaign skip just allows you to start leveling and not have worry about being locked out of the season at the start, but you still need to get to the appropriate level to do the seasonal content unlocks.
Skipping the campaign means skipping the quests, can be done, but you really want to go thru act 1 and fight those mobs at lvl 13 rather than a higher scaled level, also i believe some of the battle pass may be tied to the campaign, or maybe it is just levels.
my plan, do act 1 quest line first, then get the dungeons, shrines etc rest after, then move on to the next zone when
strong enuf to do it.

Once you skip the campaign, regardless if seasonal or eternal, the choice is permanent and cannot be undone. Game states this in the side text when you select the “skip campaign” option on the finalize window when you create a new character.
