I just got done running an Esc NMD. At the end, the pillar I clicked to enter Astaroth’s Arena showed that there would be “Varshan’s Offering” and “Grigoire’s Offering” amongst other things but when I finished the fight, all I got were crappy legendaries.
I’m wondering what exactly were their “offerings”?..runes? mats? gold? I guess I thought that a Unique specific to those two bosses would drop but it didn’t.
I’m not sure if this is a bug so I didn’t post this on the Bug Report section. BUT!
If this is a bug, please fix. Thank you. 
If you get this as one of the ‘boons’ so to speak it means they will drop boss mats for those appropriate bosses. So Varshan’s Offering would drop hearts, Grigs would be Living Steel and so on.
Not a bug though.

These affixes seriously need to be removed. Lower tier boss mats aren’t a reward, they’re a punishment.

Oddly enough I don’t think Beast in Ice’s drop from what I’ve seen in the list of affixes for Astaroth. Every other first tier lair boss has an affix though. Although I guess that makes sense as you get Distilled Fear from just doing NMD anyway. I agree though, it should have at least Tier 2 boss mats.
