Quest objectives disappear when approached

I have three (3) quests that I cannot complete, because the NPCs don’t appear. In “Tending Nature,” the map shows an icon for Moireach, waiting outside Tur Dulra, but as soon as I cross into the Deep Forest, it disappears from the map and she’s not there to continue the quest. In “To Walk a Dark Path,” the frightened pilgrims are similarly shown to be waiting, but when we get to the area in Fethis Wetlands, they are nowhere to be seen. Also in Fethis Wetlands, “Remnants of Faith” shows an icon that Tomyris is waiting for us but when we get into the region/province, it disappears and he’s not there. Once we cross into another region/province both of the quest objective markers reappear. (Note: Helltide may have been in effect when these quests were started.)

Updated: Found a workaround, see my other post in this thread.

I’m having the exact same issue. I was able to progress one of them by logging on to a different computer but there is certainly and issue with these (and other?) quests disappearing on the map. I have tired abandoning and re-attempting and it didn’t seem to help. I’m playing as a druid but don’t see how that could impact this.

I was able to do a work around for this bug:
-Enter the region where disappearing quest should be.
-Exit the game
-Re-launch the game and the quest should be there.

This has worked for my disappearing waypoint issue like you described.

This bug has just started for me as well. Playing Sorcerer, bug has happened multiple times in Dry Steppes and in Kehjistan. Simply doing a “leave game” is not sufficient to reset, but have to “Exit Diablo”. It happened with the quest where I have to kill zombies for the guy who’s too lazy to kill them (in Scarred Coast) after I killed the zombies, happened with just locating the guy who will send me down the Grinning Devil quest, and happened with the voice in the statue quest. For the latter two I can hear their dialogue, but the new NPC doesn’t appear to move on to the next quest. It has also happened that many first quest NPCs just don’t appear until I’ve exited and restarted a quest.

I have the same issue in Hawezar - Fethis Wetlands (Lv. 75)

Adding some more information here, maybe it helps with Bugfixing.

Currently I have three quest markers in the region

  • By Three They Come - Meet Sev outside Esret
  • Remnants of Faith - Speak with Tomyris
  • A Price to Pay - Speak with Gulyas

All three markers are visible when I am outside of “Fethis Wetlands” but as soon as I enter the area they are gone.

I restarted the game while I was in Zarbinzet and it did not help

I have the same issue in the same zone, with the following 3 quests:
-To walk a Dark Path
-A price to Pay
-Remnants of Faith

I have tried all possible fixes, leave game, exit game, turn off crossplay, nothing helps, the moment I enter the zone all 3 quests diappear.

I solved “Moireach, waiting outside Tur Dulra” as follows:
I reloaded the game many times and it didn’t work. But then I went there during helltide when it was night ingame and the NPC was there.

I also just had a problem with the Moireach quest. Closing and restarting the game didn’t fix it, but I did a hellbreach and when I came back out I could resume and complete it finally.

Ugh, and now “A Sliver of Light” is stuck with “wait for Mochrann to cleanse the corruption”. At first he vanished and when I restarted and returned he’s just standing there but there’s no corruption cleansing. Finally just gave p and abandoned the quest line entirely, and now the beginning isn’t even reappearing. No Shob’ha, no Mochrann, nothing.

FeelsBadMan.

This worked for me with Tending Nature! Thanks!

Restarting does not work for me like for the others :frowning:
Is there any way to report such bugs?

For real, this is such a miserable experience that I’ve quit playing until/if they acknowledge it and fix it.

It has been my experience that this happens when I start receiving the “World Boss is spawning soon” message that happens when I cross zones.
