some conversations cannot be skipped
Indeed. Quite many of them, in fact. Not the biggest problem for the first play-through, but a huge dealbreaker if it remains this way.

Some quests’cutscenes show the UI indicator for how to skip them, some do not. The consistency I found was: left-click > it shows the UI telling you what button to press to skip > press Esc > it skips and you can resume playing.
During some quests/cutscenes this wasn’t working - clicking or pressing Esc did nothing, however if I Alt-Tabbed to another application and then Alt-Tab back to the game, it then allowed to skip using left-click > Esc. 9

i have not found any problem with cutscenes … i have found problem only with conversations
also no need to click and press esc … just press two times the ESC … same as the click.
But also pressing the key once for even to enable the skip is kinda stupid for me … why not just press it once

Ive been having issue with side quest conversation. Looked all through options to see if i disabled it. I know for a fact that the side quest i chose was skippable before.
You can fix this by alt tabbing out then back in. You’ll see the advance and skip options appear again.
