I dont understand why some items can stack till 99 and other only till 10, all that stuff is crowding inventory and then stash, where we already have limited space.
- scroll of forging caps at 10 stacks
- scroll of abundance caps at 10 stacks
- scroll of contained goblins caps at 10 stacks
- scroll of grave oil caps at 10 stacks
- various boss mats cap at 50 stacks
- various potion caps at 50 stacks
- infernal horde keys cant stack, even though i only keep ones for 10 waves
- NM dungeons keys cant stack, why??
- runes cap at 50 stacks
- gems cap at 99 stacks
even though there are seperate tabs in my inventory for keys, potion and runes, due to the fact that they just only stack so far, i still have to store majority into my stash. Keys, boss mats, potion, runes etc basically take up 2 stash tabs.
Leaving me with just 3 tabs for gear. Terrible system all in all.
Every new season they keep adding new items that dont stack properly and consume more and more space.
When will they finally do something about this isseu i wonder?

How do you suppose they stack NMD sigils that have different negative affixes?
there are plenty the same, that could easily stack, or else they should make them more similar in order for them to stack.
Whats the logic in infernal horde keys not being able to stack, especially the ones that have same amount of wave cap?
None of this nonsense was in d3.

the way the devs sort the infernal horde compass is utterly stupid. why on earth would they use a sorting like 6-8-10-10-6-8-8-10?
is it based on the obtained date? does the timestamp even have any significance?
silly.

It’s all part of their “Illusion of Abundance” they’ve adopted. Instead of actually giving us loot WORTH finding they spread everything out to make it appear like we’re swimming in opulence. It’s the same reason you wait 10-15s for a Whisper cache to dump out or are forced to click on 4 separate Distilled Fears. It’s a sham to distract from the shortcomings in the game. We’re supposed to “Look at all the stuff!” instead of suffering thru endless bouts of “Meh.”
Idk how could nightmare sigils be stackable but I agree. Maybe same maps stack and both the positive and the negative affixes just activate randomly upon opening?
IH compasses could be easily stack like 6 / 8 / 10 waves each (or just remove 6 and 8 waves ones, waste of time).
Which runes cap at 50? Almost all of mine, excluding legendary runes, are stacked in the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s and one with 100. Are legendary runes capped at 50?
But yes, material stacks in a game with limited stash space is horrible. I get they have to be “mindful” of storage requirements etc. but they seriously need to figure something out. They make plenty of money/profit from this game. Invest into more storage, if that fixes the issue. The new citadel scrolls being capped at 10 just made me laugh at how bad that is.
Boss materials are easily the biggest offender. They are useful to hang on to, so you won’t throw them away, but only stacking to 50, means they accumulate fast and end up taking up half a stash tab. Maybe they need to start dropping the required number of materials to summon to 1, instead of needing 12 Exquisite Blood for one Zir summon. And then lower the drop rate to compensate, so we don’t end up with stacks of this stuff.
Agreed with nightmare sigils and infernal horde compasses. Just make those stack or at this point just delete them from the game and make us choose which dungeon we want, and how many waves of hordes we want. Have us interact with some NPC or object, in order for us to choose. I don’t think anyone even notices the random debuff or buff from the nightmare dungeon sigils anyway, so those need a whole rework too.
And the stash space problem is only now going to get worse with the armory coming. Now all of that gear for other builds is going to need to be stored in the stash.

Gonna be a while before you see this type of change, that’s all I’m saying.
All law abiding citizens of Sanctuary must pay for the sins of the few. Being unable to address the source of the crimes of duping or identify the key culprits, Prava, and her last act as head of state decided all must pay penance with lack of stash space due to limited item stacking.
The academics pointed out this had no effect on the amount of duplicated items in the realm, but this was considered hearesy and led to the rise of the burnt knights taking over to start a new regime.
