PvP, you handled it wrong

It shouldn’t be some zone that you may walk into and get one shot by an overgeared person.

And no, it didn’t happen to me because I realized the zone is PvP.

But I also realized you put statues, waypoints and quest within that PvP. So now you are ‘forcing’ people into these zones if they wish to finish their PvE experience.

So the real question is, if you wanted this ‘PvP’ and ‘Dangerous’ zones. Why didn’t you just create a PvP server? Or even do a ‘WARMODE’ type thing like in WoW.

This forcing PvP on others is absolutely disgusting. I don’t care to enter your zones.

Correct me if I’m wrong but don’t you have to flag yourself for PvP before another player can touch you? I could have sworn I saw it in a video somewhere before the game launched.

Pretty sure the flagging happens within the PvP zone.

You can be marked, making you visible in the zone and targetable.

DISGUSTING! Rofl, grow up.

You don’t have to PVP. You may have to quickly run through A PVP zone to get a statue but that’s it… and I think you’ll probably be ok.

nope. the Pker is the one who has to turn on flag. Else everyone is neutral there.
It’s been a system since D2. just think of dark souls pvp where the hostile person has to initiate

And again, you didn’t read. Knew someone like you would come rolling around.

You grow up and finish the post before posting something I already hit on.

barely anyone cares about arpg pvp.
so let the devs fix real problems first like their poop server stability, scaling issues, and itemization

I don’t know how the instaces for pvp zone works, but cant we just leave and rejoin the zone till it changes to a different instance without someone pking.

Well yes, they should absolutely focus on the main game first and foremost.

But it would solve all this PvP issue people have. Whether they want it or don’t if they just simply create a server for it.

in a pvp zone, anyone who is marked pvp CAN attack anyone regardless of their target’s status. happened to me, i was not marked, but another person who was marked just tried to gank me anyways.

DISGUSTING!

It’s not that serious. If PVP really hurts you that much then just do without that one statue.

Speaking of this, an idea popped into my head that maybe different world tiers would enable/disable pvp zones.

The higher the tiers, the more PvP zones.

As I said on your other thread: The biggest issue in overworld PvP right now is that the damage reduction is not high enough and has to scale with level.

Preventing the burst, 1 shot gameplay should be Blizzard’s priority to fix PvP and for this they need a flexible reduction scale.

Nope. Simply entering the zone allows you to be killed. Flagging yourself just allows you to kill other players.

I mean… back in D2 when it was still very active, whenever some high lv guy join it’s always either a pker trying to troll others 30+ levels below him, or some guy just trying to help. People just leave the host game if it’s a hostile flag announcement. Nothing too deep just run lol

I think OP just isn’t familiar with how it works. Modern games hardly have PK systems anymore being so casual friendly

Which quests are in the pvp zones?

  • 4 statues. 1 in one zone, 3 in another. Not worth getting and not necessary unless you’re a completionist, at which point, it’s a choice.

Not any main, there are side quest.

I don’t know the specific names as I’m not trying to waste memory on side quest names.

No one forced you to do anything lmao
