Many players don’t enjoy being griefed by level 100 no lifers. This is a problem that should be easy to avoid, but a bad design decision has complicated matters.
As Blizzard has made the unwise decision to gate a fair number of PvE elements behind a compulsory PvP mechanic in certain zones, this creates unnecessary friction for that portion of the player base who do not enjoy PvP.
Whereas the solution to this problem would be trivial to implement, and the cost to players who do not enjoy PvP is non-trivial (annoyance, time), Blizzard should allow players to disable PvP.
This could be accomplished in a number of ways. Bloodmarking could work in a more intuitive way, id est, participation in any form of PvP (killing OR being killed) would be conditioned upon opting in by marking oneself. Or, a simple toggle in the settings could be implemented whereby players could permanently disable PvP for their characters.
I see no reason why this should not or could not be done quickly and easily. Hope someone with some stroke sees this.

Although i think they can improve on the pvp element, if you go into a pvp area get ready to get pvpd.

Thats right. Delete your crapwords and uninstall. Out.

Why not just don’t go to the PvP zones? What content is gated behind the PvP that you need to go there?

Renown and Lilith altars. It’s really nothing more than that as far as I can tell.

Forget your damn quests and Lilith altars. Get the hell out of my game.

You have 4 Lilith Alters and like 4 explore XP areas. If you’re above level 50 you can easily horse the hell out and get those done in WT3 at some point in time

I deleted it because it was uncharitable. No matter how silly your comment was, I shouldn’t have responded that way.
My reasoning is sound. There’s no need to uninstall when a simple fix can correct a clear design flaw. Of course, there are many design flaws …

“a fair number of pve elements” what are you talking about? there is ONE PvP zone and all you do is farm some currency for a few cosmetics. what the hell are you talking about? the whole point of that zone and those cosmetics is to be based around PvP.

No. Don’t go to pvp zone if you don’t want to pvp

The only fix that is needed is on your account. You need to go in settings and set your account to non-existent.

There is already an opt-out mechanism in the game.
STAY. OUT. OF. THE. PVP. ZONES.
Seriously, it’s not rocket science. If you go INTO a Field of Hatred, you are opting in to PVP. Period, end of story, no excuses, no exceptions.

Welcome to diablo pvp.
Just stay out of pvp areas.
Are mobs of monsters, events and a roaming boss not considered PvE anymore?

Literally just some map exploration and a few altars of lilith. Turn off cross-play and change to WT1. Anybody you see will be there for the same reason as you and will likely not want to fight you.

Hey, I hope whatever has you so down you need to try and act hard on the forums to feel good about yourself gets better.
OT I agree it sucks there’s nothing to make pvp balanced like level gating but the solution for now is just grab the statues and go.
If youre trying to get the pvp stuff youll have to deal with some pvp. Again, I agree it’s lame 100s camp level 70s. I dont agree that being able to get pvp cosmetics should be possible without a pvp flag though.

Unless you are associated with Vanguard, Berkshire Hathaway, etc., it’s not “your game.”
Silence! You will uninstall or get rekd! Now!

Isn’t the “opt-out button” simply not going into a PVP area?

Can’t you only PvP in the fields of hatred… just don’t go there?
