PvP Balance - Fields of Strife

Troll tactics now to lure me in so that you can insult me. I’m walking away from this one.

For the people who have seen the PvP zones are they just big open plains? Or are they filled with any interesting topography, brush, places to hide, places to sneak around, etc.
If it just a big wide open brawl type of thing I find that a little boring. If you can be sneaky and hide or lay in wait for people that is way more fun to me. Still not 100% sure I want to PvP in this game but also PvP can lead to some of the most memorable and fun experiences if the mechanics are interesting or if the map leads to interesting choices.

Not trolling. But obviously youre much less intelligent and have less common sense than I originally gave you credit for.

Bottom of the barrel with the other open beta plebs you go

Theyre both desert. Have platues and some features, but all in all are pretty bland.

Yep there’s the insults.

Desert areas with cliffs and monsters. Near the city of Caldium.

Factual statements arent insults. Taking them that way is on you.

Walk away lil guy. Spread your nonsense and like the others, ill just point out how wrong you are when its needed.

You can ignore me now so you dont need to see how often it happens, and walk away like you said, unless like most the nonsense spreaders, you just crave attention and thats why youre here.

I’m not so shallow to ignore anyone. But your ego will get you into trouble some day provided you have a life IRL.

When I see a necro in pvp…

AAHH Fresh Meat!!!

2 way to changed to hostile mode :

  1. You can bloodmarked yourself by using the emote thingy interface
  2. You dont need to bloodmarked but start attacking other players and both of you will be in hostile
  3. Even if a player does not want to be hostile , he can not stay in non hostile , because if he got hit by another player then he will be hostile mode aka he can kill and get killed

Incorrect.

If youre not bloodmarked you cant just start swinging. You have to be marked to initiate pvp against an unmarked player.

You also have to go to town to mark.

IF a player is marked, and you are not, you can attack them because they are a hostile target.

There are 2 PVP areas .
One in a region called Kehijistan which consist of a desert area with oasis and palm trees . Its a pretty bright area and no caverns like the second area
Two in a region called Dry Steppes . The opened areas consist of red plains with overflowing long grass , it also has caverns that looks like the spaghetti maps in D3 aka long and narrow roads

Wrong ,
I tested the mode , you can start swinging and if you hit another players . That player gets automatically blood marked , read hostile mode
Also, you can bloodmarked both in town and in the PVP area … Not just in town

No, you cant. Thats the entire purpose of the bloodmark system. You cannot swap to marked outside of town, as to not be able to appear friendly and then steal peoples uncleansed resources.

You didnt test anything my dude. You can 100% go through the entire pvp zone unafraid of people as long as no ones marked. Once someone goes to town and marks… its game on. It is IMPOSSIBLE to not be marked and attack another unmarked player.

Shhhhhh with the bs.

Sorry I disagree ,
I played PVP extensively .
That is the point of bloodmarked … Read the devs comments on PVP , otherwise some players can just farm shards all day long because they choose not to bloodmarked , if another players can not force them blood marked , so these players will not get killed at all, since they dont want to fight other players and just farmed the red shards

Disagree all you want. Youre flat out wrong.

You can farm all day long, as long as no one marked.

The threat comes in when marked players come to kill you and take your resources.

A full shard of unmarked players have nothing to worry about and can farm freely, at a slightly slower rate than a marked player would.

Obviously extensive to you means you paid no attention to how it works and mashed buttons.

And you are wrong … just wait when the game is released and come back here . We will see who is right and who is wrong
In order to steals the red shards , you have to kill another players and he turned to a ghost totem and you earn his ears and all the shards .

True dat. I was a lvl 100 frost sorc in endgame beta and was getting shredded by lower level barb spins and werebear slams. Not even a competition.

I played hundreds of hours in egcb. You either googled some crap, are making things up and are trolling, or are 11 and pay zero attention to mechanics.

Its also explained pretty thoroughly the first time you step foot in a pvp town… but its clear you didnt read any of it if you even actually played egcb.

So who is true ?
Parousia are you bloodmarked when you get shredded by a ww barb ?
Or you are not bloodmarked and still get shredded by the ww barb ?
