I’m actually kinda torn apart on Citadel in terms of rewards and incentives.
On one hand, I am happy it’s just cosmetics so I’m not really obliged to play and party up. I will do it but it won’t be something I will be pushing or crying hard.
On the other hand, I am kinda disappointed that it’s just cosmetics. I wish there’s something more like an uber reward. Also that would trigger up more threads in the forum and would make forum endgame even more fun. As I had been saying forum is the endgame.
Good. Dont do it. That way it fails and the devs get the message that forced grouping has no place in an arpg. If they want to spend money and resources making multi boss dungeons, make them solable.
I admit I am one of those solo players complaining about the group only content. I am not even sure I will be buying VoH since I watched the last Campfire. What I learned is that Dark Citadel is one of the 3 major features coming with VoH. It is a long and difficult dungeon (based on what I am reading on the forum) and I agree that is should provide decent quality loot for those who make it to the end.
I believe Blizzard is not ready yet to do the big step towards a more MMO style of game. They don’t want to push away too many solo players. Solo players have to buy VoH too. I am sure more loot will be coming to the Citadel later, probably very soon, otherwise even players looking for group activities will quickly stop doing it.
You know, at first, I was against this multiplayer thing. After seeing and thinking about it really does not affect me as a solo player other that it takes up some room on the map.
I think they ought to reward very good gear for the effort. Make it substantive loot.
