Hey guys, like the title says I purchased on my PC BattleNet account but I will also like to install it on my Series x in case I feel like sitting on the couch and playing. My battle net account is linked to my Microsoft Xbox account. I just don’t know where to go to download the game. I’m playing right now on PC because I bought ultimate edition or whichever one the $80 version was. I’m just wondering where I need to go to actually download the game on my Xbox.
This sounds shady because companies get to sell their games twice, but in reality each platform holder gets something like 30% when a game is bought on their platform. Xbox and Sony wouldn’t allow you to play a game you bought somewhere else.
Hence, you need to purchase it on each platform you want to play it on.
For what it’s worth, during the beta I played on PC but when it was OPEN beta I played on my Xbox and when I loaded the game up my characters were right there I had been playing on PC. Was pretty seamless.
I am sure. You have to own it on each platform you want to play it on.
The link is so your characters follow you. Wherever you load up the game all your stuff is there.
Even if Blizzard wanted you to buy it on battlenet and play free everywhere else those other places would not let you.
Games can’t be on Sony, steam or Microsoft’s platform without them getting their 30% for the sale. It’s how they make their money. The consoles themselves make very little in comparison.
