I leveled up to level 50 with the companion druid build on Icy Veins.
I converted over to the Pulverize build after i got my vasily’s and Pulverize plus the shockwave aspect absolutely destroys.

This build will treat you well for many more levels. Get a Barber heart, as well as the heart the pulls in all enemies when you use your ultimate skill (Grizzly Rage in this case). Everything gets one shot. With the mob density increase it’s even more satisfying. I’m level 80 still rocking pulverize (No Tempest Roar drop yet, only have Vasilys) and this build still crushes everything.
why would a tempest roar help a pulverize werebear build. Its a storm based item is it not? My Werebear build is all earth.
It wouldn’t. I was a Pulverize build because Tempest Roar had not dropped yet, and I only had a Vasilys helm. Since that post you replied to though, I have found a Tempest Roar, just last night actually, and have switched to Werewolf Tornado.
Which one do you like better now that you have played both? (and coming from a pulverize heavy expierence?)
Pulverize is more satisfying to watch. Better animations, I think bear form looks way better than wolf, etc.
But the Werewolf Tornado build is just disgusting. Just switched to gear that I had sitting around, put on the proper aspects but the worst versions in my inventory (saving better ones for better gear) and made a version that was tanky and less damage focused…
Just destroys everything. Way higher damage than my Pulverize build. Aoe is incredible and single target just instantly deletes bosses. Pulverize would’ve taken some time to kill that boss while doing amazing AOE throughout the dungeon leading up to it, while Werewolf Tornado is the best of both worlds.
Don’t get me wrong, Pulverize will do insane damage and one shot everything if the mobs are grouped together. Werewolf Tornado does the same thing, but on single target as well.
I think this depends on where you are farming. I find pulverize faster than nado on equivalent levels just because of thee trash clearing and ability to not die to cc in general since pulverize has 3 anti cc skills on the bar. For werewolf nado, you’ve constantly using your grizzly, so it’s not even there to break out.
I have more random weird deaths with wrewolf than I do with pulverize, also sometimes you just can’t pick up your drops and have to back track to get them cause you are going so fast and mobs tend to die futher behind you than with pulverize.
Just from a speed clear dynamic, pulverize is better.
I have seen a build that uses tempest roar with pulverize. Basically, it allows you to use wind shear, storm strike, or hurricane to access envenom and +2 to shape-shifting skills if you want.
Its not a full werebear build but instead focuses on utilizing the shape-shifting damage bonus and damage reduction passives and crit chance from the inner beast board as well as aspect to increase storm crit and earth crit damage to juice up pulverize. Also does not use griz rage or eathen might but either ursine strength or beastial rampage.
I play a shifter pulverize build. It’s a fun stompy build. I do not use TR as my helm’s bonuses provide a lot more than what the TR helm does. I don’t use Vasily’s either.
