Anyone have gear ready to see how pulverize is playing?
Earth breaker ga cost reduc at least. Trample cooldown (as much as possible). Pulverize summons landslide. trample damage temp all around. Cast pulverize to summon plates around you then trample thru it. Aspect of trampled earth also makes trample nature magic which applies the most multipliers. Other then trample dam temp everything else needs to be put into nature magic/critchance/crit dam. This build is really freed up to use all the defensives too because the only 2 to use damage wise are trample and pulverize
I had a Shred / Pulverize build at level 100, max glyphs since the 3rd day of launch. Funny enough, a lot of things did end up buffing this build post patch.
I went from about 1.2-1.6 mil Shreds to 1.5-2 mil Shreds and my Pulverize OP Crits went from 4-5 mil to 10-15 mil.
However⊠itâs still garbage in comparison to any of the other builds you would want to compare it to. Because those Barb /Neco / Rogue builds are based on bugs that make them approximately 100k% (one-hundred thousand percent) stronger than any other well thought out build that isnât bugged.
So⊠of course itâs stronger, but I wouldnât bother with it unless you REALLY want to play that build specifically regardless of feeling incredibly weak.
The issue in this game will always remain that Blizzard has taken it upon themselves to force builds on the community each season in the form of âaccidental bugsâ that are in truth completely intentional. Which in turn will always leave a large group of players wanting to compete with builds that should in theory (and visible math) compete just fine⊠but will always be left in the dust until the day Blizzard decides to say, âOopsies! We accidentally bugged that skill for an entire season!â
This is not the Season for Pulverize.
Interesting how do you manage spirit with 2 core skills main? And what is your primary form then?
I manage Spirit through the Unsatiated Aspect + Hunterâs Zenith for clearing. Basically you just Shred mobs and Pulverize for free when you want to maintain buffs or smash Elite packs. Youâll have capped Spirit the entire time.
I have no primary form, just Human. I donât use either of the chests. I use Shako instead.
On bosses I just use Claw to generate Spirit quickly and proceed to Pulverize. Claw has no points invested in it, so the damage is nothing special, but Iâm in it just long enough to keep my Wildheart Hunger boots and Bestial Rampage buffs up the whole time.
Again, itâs nothing spectacular in terms of how strong it is. But it is REALLY fun and a cool idea. The Werebear/Werewolf build will happen one day!!! Fingers crossed.
But if you havenât tried it out, give it a shot. Of course you want to use Shepherdâs and Stampede Aspects (like any freaking Druid build does⊠) and I also use Ursine Horror to make Pulverize an Earth skill to take advantage of Obsidian Boon.
Just ideas really⊠the build has never been strong enough to really warrant a ton of thought. But it IS there⊠Blizzard just has to make it happen one day.
EDIT: Get back to me if you ever end up trying it and figure out something interesting.
Trying to stack number of pets with the Shepherdâs aspect on my neck (15x per pet). I count 4 ravens, 2 wolves and a creeper, so thatâs a nice bonus. Then for rings I got starless skies and hunterâs zenith (mostly for the greater affix quickshift bonus). Both pulverize aspects on 2h and gloves, them tiba pants for more resource.
Great at everything but boss fights are very anti-climactic. You get used to seeing this giant bear bashing earthquakes all over the place to barely damaging the boss, lol. Petrify helps but ideally I donât want my boss fights to last more than 2 staggers lol.
Just to add onto this topic: I also use a no-Basic build (Pulverize & Shred) with a combination of Starlight Aspect (resource per healing), Bloodhowl, Trample, and a few +Healing lines on my gear & Paragon. Hunterâs Zenith is only good for Helltide and clearing Pit right up to the boss. If you donât have other resource options during said boss fight, youâll be in trouble.
Denubis: to answer your question simply. I have the gear and pulverize is still a dumpster fire.
Taking it one step further; almost all of the changes/buffâs druid got are âinsufficientâ. Pulverize builds needed WAY more dmg. Iâm talking 200x or more to be high pit viable. The druid class on whole needs to have conditionals removed from their skills because they are holding us back. Blizzards states, âWe are getting rid of damage on Tuesday conditionalsâ: Yet almost all of our skills have conditionals. The pet meta needs to be revisited or just completely tossed in its current iteration. They nerfed the all the content in the game. But that nerf to content pushed all the other classes further up too. SO basically, still several tiers behind everyone else. LULZ!
Itâs still fun to play and completely viable for most of the content in the game, but donât expect much pushing for endgame pits.
I found a 2 greater affix andies visage. Rng wants me to try it really badly. Gonna give shako back to the rouge and try. I took out creepers and put in trample to proc tiba pants⊠Then ditched crafted metamorphosis boots for the shapechange 1.5x shoes (forgot the name). Just need to tweak the poison skills a bit and gtg.
Cant believe they did address shepards forcing 3 spaces on your hotbar.
Like i can believe it as this dev team is just poor. Like really bad.
But that was soooo low bar.
If they donât announce something in the campfire for s5, idk if I can play Druid another season until itâs addressed.
Pulverize is a lot stronger. I can get some ginormous overpowers. Banished lordâs seems semi viable outside of the lack of movement speed.
My shred druid is doing really good for some reason. Iâm getting 12-14M shred crits here and there. Normal crits are around the 5-9M range. The damage while fortified skill is a life saver.
Using Godslayer and found an amulet with +3 Envenom (ranked to 5 now). Quickshift buff is noticeable but needs a wee bit more I think.
No really I deleted all my skills and only have all my points in Toxic Claws. God tier
and yet wudjio posted he is doing 500million with pulverize
what gives
it hits super hard when you get an overpower. its really fun once you get the stuff for it. is it a pit pusher? nah. doing 100 today is a 90 second speed farm for S tier builds. is it a helltide blaster? big time.
Just beat all the tormented bosses on my solo self found LS. So will be running pulv next. Happy to hear it got a bit better.
Was told though that Survival instinct doesnt work with earth skills? So if you turn pulv to earth via the aspect, no multiplier?
Itâs good until you realize Bash does that in 3-4 hits no conditional or Flay is ticking for 2b twice a second and being Rupture for 200b. It would be performing good if you excluded the top meta builds which are leagues ahead still.
Idk how you guys got that numbers, lol. Well, Iâm not masterworked yet all the stuff, just switched to pulverize/trample/shred and 2M crits already seems good for me
They need to add something active we can do to get a pulverize. The pulverize timers always stack and hit back to back. Earthen Might is nice for insta kills farming, but does not help with high health enemies.
Maybe add so many basic attacks triggers your next core skill to pulverize. Earthen Might could be like spend x amount of resource to get another overpower. Maybe once not healthy your next skill will overpower. Or basic attacks reduce the provocation cooldown. Who knows. Triggered on unstoppable⊠i dunno. Throwing out ideas.
Needs more buff. Still 15~20 times weaker than barbs
