Blizzard wanting to make progress in the game more difficult is a sign that they don’t know what the community wants or desires. Wanting to make initial leveling more difficult won’t help the game improve. What the game really needs is a skill tree with many more build options and freedom to kill bosses without needing to collect specific ingredients. The boss mechanics are highly bureaucratic and only exist in Diablo 4. Blizzard’s approach is unfortunately not accurate, but rather defeatist. Blizzard no longer knows how to convince people to play their games because they lack talent on the team! After season 8, we’ll have the same negative comments from season 7 about the achievements of this season. Blizzard is not attacking the root of the problem, but rather ignoring the game’s chronic problem, which is the lack of builds, items, and build diversity. There’s no point in introducing mechanics to artificially trap players…this will make potential players never come back!
But how ist the fight on PTR? Is it just a prolonged fight against huge damage spongues? If yes its not difficult its just exhausting. Do the attacks of the monsters hit harder? Are they moving and attacking more intelligent now? ![]()
The community, or should I say the vocal community, is divided on what it wants. The issue is Blizzard listens to one side of that community to make changes to the game, then that side of the community is pleased. However in making these changes, Blizzard has just ticked off the other side of the community.
So now those who don’t like the changes voice their opinion instead. While those who like it or are indifferent to the changes are basically shunned out of the conversation. So Blizzard sees another vocal minority that is making more noise, and they go back to please them instead.
When you don’t have any direction and you let the passengers drive, this is what you get. A game that swerves back and forth between who is yelling the loudest at any given time.
This side of the community who complain about every aspect of the game?
Complaining about the Dark Citadel?
Complaining about the Pit?
Complaining about about how too fast this game is?
Complaining about it was too easy to reach T4?
Complaining about too easy it was tooreach lvl 60?
Complaining about how Duriel and Andariel can be OS everytime?
Complaining because there is no challenge in this game since the launch?
PS : Complaining why we still not have Diablo here?
Complaining about the story?
Complaining about Renown?
Complaining about PvP?
Complaining about the Battle Pass?
Complaining about balance?
Complaining about seasons?
Complaining about the shop?
Complaining about D3?
Complaining about paragon?
Complaining about skills?
Complaining about stairs, walls and doors.
Complaining about demonic symbols in a game called Diablo?
Complaining that they do not have anything to do after they blast through everything?
Complaining about the blogs?
Complaining about the campfire chats?
Complaining about patch notes?
Complaining about spiders?
Complaining about the gauntlet?
Complaining about the mounts?
Complaining about the pets?
Complaining about the development team?
Complaining about stash?
Complaining for the sake of complaining?

HAHA thanks to continue my post bro! ![]()
I will add this : Complaining about D4 logo
The community itself is divided on every single complaint you’ve just given. Those who complain about DC may or may not be the same who complain about the Pit, or how fast the game is, or any other topic. It’s a case by case basis.
For example I’ll complain about the DC, but I’m rather indifferent to the Pit, and I definitely don’t care about Diablo not being in the game at the moment. Now I’ll add my two cents and play devil’s advocate to give a broader perspective about topics, but I like to think I stay fairly neutral on the topics I’m rather indifferent to. Even on the topics I agree need changes, I’ll still portray the other side.
Maybe the lowest Blizzard (the entire company’s history yes) has ever stooped, was when they took a twitter poll to see if they should balance Spirit Born. Imagine consulting twitter to advise your game’s direction. 15 years ago this would seem unfathomable for a company like Blizzard.
I agree with this, but what it make me “mad” if we can say that like this, it’s player (they think we can’t saw their previous post on the forum) who said “Need challenge, T4 ez, Pit ez” and some of them said today => Bruh it’s too hard!!!
I don’t understand them, bipolar people probably.
This will forever be a part of the problem in this type of video game.
Elitist side
Neutral side
Casual side
I just think they need to come out with 1 more game mode.
We have
- Softcore
- Hardcore
We need a babycore mode and that can be the D3 blasters.
I disagree. This ultra-causal progression curve they’ve introduced is, in my personal opinion, very bad gameplay.
For me, S8 is a big step in the right direction. I can only hope Blizz gets it right… ![]()
PS to the OP…
So there’s no build diversity in D4… hmmm
I see it completely differently. There are currently 60 builds listed on max roll, 80% of which can handle ANY content, except for possibly Pit 80+.
How many do you think there are that can rush through the entire content if that many aren’t enough for you? Or do you ONLY play the over-OP meta build?
Are they the same people though? I think that’s the misconception a lot of people on these forums have. They assume it’s the same people. Now there may be some who flip-flop as much as Blizzard does, but from what I’ve seen in the forums, those who are advocating for something typically are content (to an extent) with the decision Blizzard makes when a change is in their favor.
I would have gone the other way with an Elite Ultra level of T5. Just add a harder level for those that want to give it a shot.
I dont want to see additional torment modes and I think its a bad idea because the same ppl will QQ about T5 like they are with T4 right now.
A seperate game mode for D3 blasters is prob the best way to go imo.
That’s a fun idea. If I wanted to play like that I’d probably just go back to T1 myself.
I just hope they pick a lane and stay in it for awhile. Going back and forth every season like the people above have stated is just frustrating. I get the impression they are looking for the quickest, easiest ways to reverse what they’ve said in previous campfires. Ultimates need to be used more, ultimates are too powerful, etc etc.
Well its funny casuse when I took Marketing 101 in college on the first day we learned: if you try and sell a product to everyone you will sell a product to no one
You cant create something for everyone. People are different and want different things.
Your right tho the whiplash is pissing everyone off.
You are right. Currently 80% of the builds can handle any content in T4 more or less comfortably with the proper gear. 10% can trivialize the content in T4 just after a few hours with average gear and they complain that the game is too easy. The answer from Blizzard was to sacrifice 70% of build diversity to tune T4 for the 10% meta.
The other changes, slower levelling, harder to get gear are going in the right direction for me.
I’m not so sure you’re right about your 70% not being able to complete the Q 4 Content…
It’s true that if almost every character, regardless of their equipment or skill set, can complete the maximum difficulty level, then there’s something wrong with the difficulty levels… but that’s just my opinion ![]()
And I would be super happy about this change, even if I can’t play T4 with my self-made build, so I ALWAYS have a carrot in front of me… That’s how I see it.
Haven’t been on the forums for a while but I do agree with that take.
I’ll definitely say from my point of view the game was too easy. I played s7 for a week and stopped. More difficulty is a good move but with that I don’t plan on playing s8 either.
The changes I seen in the patch notes didn’t pull me back in. I did not watch the dev chat though so didn’t get a feel for what the changes look like nor have I played the ptr.
I figure I’ll give it a season or 2 and try again later.
