After running Tormented bosses the experience was not great. The combat was fine, the difficulty is adjustable to your preference which is nice. The issue comes in when I used over 500 materials trying to get an Ancestral Unique Glove and did not receive it. For context I got 4 Mythic from those 500 materials, and Zero Greater Affix items. Just unusable “trash” gloves. I was on Torment 4. Still looking for gloves as I write this, the Loot needs an update please.

I actually quite like the rareity of items. It means there is more then 2 weeks of gameplay.

Wait a sec, did you just say that you got 4 times more mythic uniques than GA ancestrals?
I knew drop rate was fubar in PTR, but hey, looks like blizz always finds a way to impress me

i keep using the cheat vendor to get obols to try luck.
for items like staff/amulet that requires 100 obols, luck is somehow about 2% to get one, while others 40-50 obols stuff, the turnout rate is like 1%.
looks like the devs are going to put ancestral gears into Infernal Hordes.
( fair and logic enough as those gears were from the Sanctuary ancestors battling hell forces for centuries, LOL )
I thought I was a fan at first, but then I kept running content and failing to get jack to show for it since you not only have to get the Ancestral drop, but you then have to get one that has decent stats that doesn’t brick at the blacksmith. I think that for most people the current rates would mean little progress across the season with respect to getting decent Ancestrals in every slot, which puts some serious hurt on most existing builds. I know that some people are all about playing one game to the exclusion of all others, and sometimes for hours a day, but I’m not sure the net effect would be a very positive one. There’d be a very small percentage of blasters that love it but for most players I suspect that it would be a major turnoff. I think we’re probably going to see some buffs to the drop rates in live though since I’ve seen very little positive feedback about the state of loot on the PTR.

he is full of it. on torment 4 you will see an ancestral drop every 2-3 tormented boss runs. it may not have been what he wanted or with the roll on the unique aspect he wanted but no way he made that many runs without seeing ancestral drops. straight lying

You got ancestral drops doing tormented bosses? I ran maybe 25 total across all of them and only got unique drops. Never saw an ancestral. How many did you do?
ancestral is the ilvl 800 gear. you are confusing the word ancestral and legendary. boss ladder only drops uniques now

Yep. I just said screw it and was doing some stuff in WT4. Not the most efficent because my gear/build prob isnt optimal but I have seen ga more frequent in T3 and T4.
yes you get an ancestral unique every 2-3 boss runs. they have like a 10% drop rate on torment 4 from the tormented bosses

I’ve had more time than usual to ‘‘farm’’ the PTR but ended up having to use my legacy items with an old character because good items is not a matter of luxury anymore, you actually gonna need those to progress through T4 and they brick too!!
Blizzard is about to erase the good they have done for people with less time to play this 2 seasons. A lot of happy players showing their stuff and playing the game. Why would they want us to have less fun? Chasing good items for more than 1 day is not fun because it can brick and might not fit our build.
PS: I understand that some people want them rare because they can chase them. Guys, we all want to have that time for gaming! We can’t, bro. Understand people with less time.

When mythic unique droprates are so low in t1/2 that they will never ever drop…
give us legendary items with GA that we can improve and progress towards t3.

If in 4 days you still don’t have a BiS that is an actual problem.
This is not about chasing items that only your favorite YouTuber owns or that guy in reddit being treated like a god because the maths of the game droppped him that item, that was old Diablo games which are still avaible for a fair price. (They say D2 is the best and doesn’t have what you pointed as a problem).
This is about playing a game with now 6 classes with different builds and options. I want, in 1 season, be able to play most of them with powerful builds. So I need that BiS to drop day 2 or 3 with each class. And please remember that the BiS can brick while being tempered, leaving it as ‘‘the only Ancestral that dropped in 4 days that now is not helping my character’’.
