PSA: Imperfectly balanced doesn't work

As of right now it increases Essence cost of Core skills, however tooltip damage doesn’t change. I wasn’t able to measure any damage difference when testing. If someone can prove me wrong that would be great, because in that case I screwed up my bug report and would like to correct it.

I did some testing on this with a Level 4 Necro using Level 1 Blood Lance and only the starting gear against the Goatmen outside the northwest side of Kyovashad. Tested with 3/3 in Imperfectly Balanced and without and tracked and averaged the damage seen.

From my rough testing it looks like Imperfectly Balanced is increasing the damage properly, but some official confirmation on this would be nice. Going to test Bone Spear as well to confirm it’s not just Blood Lance working.

Tested Level 1 Bone Spear as well and it looks like it’s working as intended as well. Forgot to note in the first post that I was testing on World Tier 1.

I suspect it probably works relative to if a core spender hits/or crits.
And probably doesnt work relative to Overpower(because nothing works relative to Overpower)

You will see that the mana cost of spells go up after you leave town. It’s one of those weird talents.

I’ve noticed the same thing. Essence cost increases on the tooltip, but damage doesn’t. I currently have no way of testing if the damage actually increases and just isn’t showing. Has anyone else been able to confirm this?

I can’t absolutely confirm but I do not think it is applying any damage increase. Just did 5 mins of testing. Best case scenario going from 6 points in balanced and 3 in evulsion to 0 in balanced and 6 in evulsion did not at all seem like a damage decrease, but balanced is still making skills cost more.

Yup same here, I couldn’t measure any increase during second round of testing either. Point being, essence increase is brutal. If damage difference is there, but unnoticable, it needs some love either way.

This is most likely because both skills increase damage from the same damage bucket with a 3% difference between the two. That may not be enough of a change to notice, especially at lower levels. You could really go either way with it around end-game levels since necro is a high crit chance class. Pre end-game, theres pros and cons to both.
*Imperfect Balance:
Pro - Doesnt need crit chance to proc
Con - Costs more essence, slightly less damage boost, and only applies to Core skills
*Evulsion:
Pro - Slightly more damage boost, doesnt cost extra essence, and applies to all forms of damage that can crit
Con - Only applies when you proc your crit

Same here. It does nothing with Bone Spear.
