I just hit level 60 and I was kind of surprised how weak Quill Volley’s damage was throughout the leveling process. Even with Ravager up 100% of the time, it’s just anemic.
Do yourself a favor and put 3 points in Acceleration and get boots with “attacks reduce evade cooldown”. Then equip the Eagle primary spirit, hold down Thunderspike basic skill button and just spam evade.
You’ll do so much more damage it’ll blow your mind, you never have to worry about resource, and you’ll be clearing so fast because you never have to stop moving.

I wonder how long it’s going to take people to realize scourge thorns is the best build…speed farming, anyway

I’m 40 (on Hard), and Quill Volley oneshots everything but elites.
Evasion/Evasion on Attack also works nicely. But Quill is definitely a killer.
I use this as well. Only a few pieces with Thorns, but it ramps up so quickly. If I had more, I’d drop Quills, but Quills is good for mopping up all the trash quickly that never seems to attack.

about sums up the state of the game when the best thing to say about the newest class is press the evade button.
Oh and that Centipede Ult. Just delicious!
It even follows you around if you leave the area.

Seems unlikely to be faster for leveling than what the OP’s suggesting. Between Soar, Rushing Claw and evade spamming you can literally sprint through the dungeon while one-shotting everything on normal through expert.
My Spiritborn is only level 43 but the Eagle evade feathers are definitely superior to Quill, and it’s not even close.
Feathers cost no resource. Have no cooldown. Have insane range (killing things off screen). Auto-aim. Do roughly 4x the damage of Quills and feed you insane amounts of offering via the Cem rune. Paired with Gar at low levels you basically have permanent +25% crit chance.
Oh, and you also don’t have to stop to cast them. I’m sure this will get toned down but for now it’s pretty insane.

Good call. I meant to put this in the original post. Amazing rune combo for evade spam while leveling.
Odd. Maybe they passed it but this didn’t do me any good.
