Hey guys just switched to pc and having trouble loading my d4 account from my ps5 and i linked my ps5 to my battle net
Buy the game for PC first PS5 is a different media, so D4 is a different product
The game has cross-play but it’s not cross-platform. You’ll need to purchase a copy for PC if you want to play it on PC via cross-play.
This has to be a joke, right?
it says the game is cross play and crossplatform so can i not link my ps5 d4 account to my new pc account ?
Their idea of crossplatform is the fact you can play the game on multiple platforms, not the fact you can use the same gaming license to play on those platforms. You will need a separate license for each platform, PS, Xbox, PC.
Now any progress you made on Playstation will cross over once you have bought the license on PC and linked it to your account, but you have to actually buy the game on PC first.
You can, but in order to play you need to purchase a the game from here. Make sure to select the Windows version of the game. If you purchased either the deluxe or the ultimate edition for PS5, you need only to purchase the base game on PC as the deluxe features are tied to your Battle.net account itself. This at least allows you to take advantage of lower prices than you might othewise expect to pay.
Once you purchase the Battle.net version of D4, you can then use the characters you created on the PS5 with no issues as the characters and your progress are stored on Blizzard’s servers, not your PSN account itself.
One thing to note: You mentioned a new PC account. If you are not using the same Battle.net account you used for your PS5, you will not have the ability to use the cross play feature. Since you had to create a Battle.net account when you got into the PS5 version, you need to use that same Battle.net account for the link to work properly on PC.
So wait you make a battlenet account and connect your PS5 purchase to it, that game isn’t available to play on PC through your battlenet? If that’s the case wow, they just keep getting worse.
This game is clearly on the unfinished so I wouldn’t hold your breath too much. It’s probably just so you can play with other players as mentioned above.
In order to utilize the Battle.net (PC) play option you must have purchased the game on that platform or else it won’t show up in the Battle.net app. It’s the same if going from PC to console - you have to purchase the game on the console even if you’ve already purchased it on the PC. The good news is if you purchased the deluxe or ultimate edition on any platform, you only need to buy the base game on the other platform you wish to use the cross play feature on.
Comes down to owning game licenses on different platforms. The reason you can install multiple PC games over and over again is because you own the license for that game on PC only. You can’t take that same license and apply it to Playstation or Xbox as they have completely separate licenses.
Sony made a deal with Blizzard to allow them to make Diablo 4 playable on the Playstation hardware. When the user purchases the game for Playstation they have a game license that says they can play Diablo 4 only on Playstation. Red Dead Redemption is the same way, it used to be a PS Exclusive, and now that it’s on PC, those who own the PS version can’t just magically own the game on PC.
i did this but my chars didnt show up i purchased the game on Bnet
Did you use the exact same Battle.net account to purchase the game that you used with your PSN account? They must be the same account for the link to work as the characters are tied to the account. If you made a new account then the characters will not show up.
Is the Battle.net account you’re posting from (Jroc699#1867) the one you created when you activated the game on the PS5?
