Can no longer play (PS5)
X and Square button input doesn’t work 95% of the time. this starts on the home screen. I can’t log in because I have to select the character with X. If I then get into the game, both the x and square buttons don’t work in the options, in the inventory, or in the blacksmith.
In fights it works.
unplayable!
Pls fix.
I played D4 on PS5 at time of the launch and did not had any problems. Only played for around 1 month.
Just startet a new char in the season 2 a few days ago and was facing very quickly the same issue you described. X and Square button working normal in fights but on most menus they are just dead or only working after pressing 100 times the button.
After using google I was supprised that I was already finding threads like this here (or at reddit) which are months old and there was never any solution to it.
Luckly I found at least a workaround, which may help somebody with this issue.
If the error occurs that X and Square Button is not working holding L2 at the same time makes the buttons works. As almost all submenus (inventory etc.) have all R1/2 and L1/2 keys bound you need jump once to the right with R2 and then going back mit L2 (and keep this button pressed) - than X and Square are working. For sure this still sucks (especially in the just descripted situtation where L2 is already bound) but at least it´s able to play the game again.
