Same here on PS5 happens at random times. I was at the end of the Capstone Dungeon and it crashed… Waste of time!

Are there any updates on what is causing the game to crash so much on PS5? Ive been playing since early access and it consistently crashes to the PS5 dash every 2-4 hours. Must have submitted 100s of crash reports by now. Its the only bug/glitch that ive really experienced, but its really annoying at this point. Losing progress, items etc. Ive never played a game on PS5 that crashed this much.

I have crashed 3 times throughout the day, as well as at least 2 times every day that I play Diablo IV on PS5! It is ABSOLUTELY ABSURD that Blizzard isn’t fixing this issue!!
PLEASE FIX THE CRASHING ISSUE!!??
I have to restart my dungeon run for the 3rd time!! It ALWAYS CRASHES when I portal back to town to get rid of my loot!!

Mine is exactly the same, first it was when I would get onto the character selection so I safe reset my PS5 which then would let me select the character but once I loaded in it would crash again.
I have since factory reset and re installed the game which was a hassle but now I can last about 5 minutes into the game.
I saw somebody fixed their game by changing their tier which I did and created a new character and the same crashes occurred.
It is a bit disappointing as I was really enjoying Diablo but now the game is almost unplayable
Game crashed twice today ps5 - you. When will it be fixed? I’m slowly not in the mood to play like this…

This issue is absolutely f-ing terrible. Its bad enough for me that it makes me want to rage quit the game. Three times, just today, while in a dungeon, about 2/3’s of the way through, CRASH! Lose all progress (NM T40+), teleported back to nearest city, elixir expired. These three times are are just when I’m in the dungeon. Just doing other general things, in town, opening map, opening character panel, yadda yadda, yadda… has happened at least 2-3 times. Ive only played about 6 hours off n on. FIX THIS F-ING ISSUE BLIZZARD!!!
It’s possible that it is just coincidence, but there are two aspects on my Sorcerer that have caused my game to crash constantly: Frostblitz and Crowded Sage.
I could be teleporting, in a dungeon, helltide, even standing still and I would crash.
Once I removed them I haven’t had an issue.
I just want to play without crashing and lag.
For me the game crashed only once, when I started it for the first time during the Prologue, when the Dude starts to cart the char to the barn. The console crashed so bad that I had to take it off the power to get it to even work again. Haven’t had a crash since, so here is what I did:
My PS5 was standing in a rather tight spot so I took it out because I thought it might be an overheating problem. I also rebuilt the PS5s database. No idea, which of these two actions solved my problem but I’ve played 70 h since then without a problem. Hope this helps some of you.
It continues to crash on a daily basis. Dear Blizzard: When will it be fixed? This is what we deserve for HUF 40,000???
