Props on Companion Druid

In case anyone was curious on how Blizzard did on Companion Druid with the buffs this round… It is great to play.

We’ll see how it does when power is perfected and if it can keep up with Landslide decently well (I don’t expect it to be better) but the play style/fantasy is 100% there and this is definitely my new favorite class as I like it more than the Necro pets style - A+ =)

Blasphemer! Good to hear though, I’ve been curious about the Druid for a while, but it’s hard to get away from my Iggimancer.

Understandable, I just like feeling like I am in a huge brawl with my pets and since you have two (technically three, but birds are more like Amp Damage) pets CDs to manage on short CDs once geared the amount to do feels more because of the melee combat the build still requires of the Druid.

Can’t hate undead army love though

So now you got me curious, are the pets your main source of damage or do you have core skills you use as well? Mind you I know next to nothing about Druids other then a basic Pulverize build I tried back in S0.

The wolves’ pounce (think like Golem’s AoE) is the primary source of damage. The Poison Creeper does decent damage but is mainly there to provide the poison multiplier and root everything in place.

You’re in combat to trigger the refresh on Companion skills even faster (Pack Leader) and to Pulverize to give 20% reduced damaged from enemies to help you survive (the pets are immortal due to an aspect)

*Poison Creeper Druid.

Every version has been there the whole time as only viable druid build besides basic attack. They are all based on one talent skill too: Clarity.

Could you reply with what build you are using? If one from a popular site please indicate which one.

I’m basically just using the build from Maxroll with some slight modifications on tempers (focused more on wolf damage where they do companion) and some other minor stuff to keep armor and resistance caps.

NMD 100 @ lvl 93
Currently doing tier 4 (and can do 5) Infernals
Just hit 100 last night (was doing tier 4/5 infernals prior to 100)

Since I haven’t played other classes or builds I am not looking at power (just providing you an example on how stuff was going) but just absolutely loving the brawling playstyle.

That doesn’t seem any different than Necro (everything uses fueled by death) and Sorc (everything did use firebolt enchantment… not sure now).

I haven’t played Druid since s0 so apologies if this revelation is a bit… ummm… late on companion Druid =)
