So I’ll start this off with a “make more builds viable” approach. Sorcs for example basically have 2 builds, orbs useless most of lightning is useless hydras useless fireballs useless etc. Same with other classes if the idea of paragon boards were to be “unique” and to give options you shot yourself in the foot by literally nerfing ANYTHING that worked, knee jerk reactions like that are ridiculous
Problems with Uniques etc - most of them are trash and the drop rates are weird… some people NEVER find a specific item, yet find (unique staffs in my case) multiple copies of the same unique over and over again which you basically can’t use because none of the builds actually work.
Either give people the option of reasonably finding the items (even lower rolls) or allow trading.
Mob density - this ties back into drop rates but also ties into leveling. Why nerf density? Why tell people that THEY should be forced to play in a certain way and that traditional “runs” like we had previously shouldn’t be done?
After all this hype, being used as unpaid labor to test your game during this entire roll out process only to be not heard, to have every build and option nerfed to where classes aren’t useable I’d suggest just running D2 as it is through this new engine and leaving us alone cause it feels as if you make any progress, you get punished, you’re limited to 1 play style that will eventually get nerfed so why play? D3 was a huge disappointment and at this rate give it a month this game will be dead too. Ive played since d1 and would really like to see some basic improvements, just because some people abuse something doesn’t mean the rest should suffer, open up the builds so there’s more variety, open up loot drops or variety, or at minimum allow trading, let people do what the want and have fun rather than forcing them into a certain play style and system. Data mining coupled with streaming has hurt games like this, everyone makes a cookie cutter build because THATS THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN EFFECTIVELY PLAY and be like “there’s no content” there’s plenty of content and things to do but I feel as I’m trapped into something that I certainly didn’t choose, let us choose.

I cant speak for Sorcerer because I havent played one yet, but my Rogue build is nothing like anything you can find on youtube, and it is performing very well - and for that reason, I think people should spend more time reading and less time watching.

This is, supposedly, going to be addressed. More elites in larger dungeons and more in higher NM Difficulties.
Might be addressed through NM Dungeon having better loot which was discussed. I personally like the rate of unique finding right now but also think they should have their stats improved some
As far as builds…
Ehh… Druid has felt decent in terms of variety. I’m not saying you can slap any skills together and make it work but Druid’s build variety seems pretty good. Can’t speak anything on Sorc
The amount of variety in the builds you can make is so small it is painful. The friend I play with the most finds joy in making builds that aren’t supposed to work, work somehow and the available options to do so has already been tried by him within 10 days because of the small number of ways to make things work. (this was done on 3 of the classes so far)

I guess, but thats not the experience Im having so…

It’s weird… I find sorc staffs that I can’t use as a sorc… lol… That’s it. Really
Better drop rate
Better variety of drops
Localized dungeon runs
Increased XP in open world
Buff other build options.
Hopefully they change somethinf
The main problem with D4 is that it’s still in BETA.
The amount of issues, hot fixes, crashes, broken skills, broken AI, ect. proves it.

Some of the skills dont have any aspects or uniq item .
To play your way… It is unfinished…
I think the biggest problem with this game and Diablo 3
(because let’s be honest it’s like d3 with improved graphics)
is that there is no trade…
It’s pointless to farm items without being able to sell them.
A lot of players play d2 only because they can trade in the game,
trading is addictive and that’s not a bad thing.
No matter what patches and builds Blizzard comes up with,
this game won’t have an endgame without a trade, and that’s the truth.
Just think if aspects could be traded for gold,
it would make every player farm legendary items until they find their max stats.
For me, this game will not have an endgame without a trade
and the rarest items in the world loses its value as a “Account Bound”…
I play Sorc as well and I am just not having the same experience you are. I see plenty of opportunity for build diversity with skills and paragon. The nerfs so far, have been on point and there are still more that should be done. Playing a sorc, I struggle with people saying skills like Hydra are useless. There are ways to use/build around a skill like Hydra.
NEVER is a strong word for a game that we have played for two weeks.
They adjusted the density of a handful of 100+ dungeons to bring their density into the same range as the other dungeons. Leveling; it takes time, as it should in my opinion.
I as well have played Diablo since 1997. Diablo 4 is not perfect by any means. But it is the most complete Diablo game to ever launch and the only to launch with any endgame content. D1, D2, D3, all launched in much more inferior states that D4 has.
If you feel trapped that is unfortunate. I do not disagree that there are plenty of opportunities for Blizzard to make Diablo 4 a better experience for everyone and that some decisions they make some will like and some won’t. I do hope you find some sorc builds that work for you and that you get some better unique drops!
would not even be typing this if Battle.Net was not down…
