On December 28, 2025, I was unexpectedly informed via email by Blizzard that my Diablo IV account had been permanently banned. However, through Blizzard Support, the penalty was officially reversed on January 2, 2026.
Despite the ban reversal, I am still unable to access the account. Steam continues to display Error Code 52, which corresponds to an active ban. I have followed all troubleshooting steps provided by support, including reinstalling the game, clearing cache, restarting and resetting the modem, and deleting all temporary files. None of these actions resolved the issue.
As a result, my entire season progress has been compromised and continues to be affected. This situation is highly regrettable.
It is important to note that I have already received official confirmation from Blizzard stating that my account is fully unbanned. However, since the game was purchased through Steam, and Steam does not provide support for third-party game bans, I remain without a resolution. Blizzard, on the other hand, has not resolved the access issue either.
At this point, I do not know what further steps to take.
have been playing through Steam for over 11 years and have never had any issues across more than 240 games on my account, all legitimately purchased on the platform.
The ban applied to my account was acknowledged by Blizzard as an error and was subsequently reversed. However, despite recognizing the mistake, Blizzard has not provided any effective assistance to resolve the issue they themselves created, which continues to prevent me from accessing the game.
Bli$$ has no control over third party sale sites, so the issue is solved on theyr side.
Now you’ll have to solve it on $team side, since Bli$$ can’t control that.
Don’t get me wrong, but as far i see it, it’s no longer a Bli$$ side problem, it’s $team problem…
