Problem with Diablo IV- Expansion Bundle Xbox

I bought the Expansion Bundle Diablo with Vessel of Hatred standard edition.
I can build a character and play normally with spirit born in the new areas, but that’s about it. In game it doesn’t recognize it.
Standard version looks normal and suggests me to buy it also everything related to vessel of hatred (cosmetics mount etc) is locked and tells me I have to buy vessel of hatred.
So it looks like i have no version and i can’t upgrade.

I can’t get the DLC to work at all for XboX. Shows I bought the Ultimate Edition. When I was at Difficulty 2 the quest showed up but held off till i built my character up more, when i went to dififculty 3 its gone and never returned.

This is ashame. This seems to be a common problem. Its pretty clear the DLC was never ready to be out there. I dont know what to do at this point

Same. It wont let me buy cosmetics for the spiritborn but i can play the game. I talked to blizzard and they just tell me to make sure its installed. Which it is cause I can play it! But I cant purchase in game cometics for the spiritborn.

Also having this problem on Xbox.

I pre-purchased Diablo IV Expansion Bundle (standard versions of the base game and expansion). I also purchased the expansion’s Standard to Ultimate upgrade. In-game store shows Deluxe and Ultimate with green ticks/checks. However, Standard has no tick and it is showing I need to purchase it again.

I can’t purchase any Spiritborn cosmetics as it keeps saying I have to purchase Vessel of Hatred first, even though I already have it and I’m playing it!

I think I might have found the cause of the problem. I don’t think the ‘Expansion Bundle’ has been set up properly in Microsoft Store:

When a user purchases a Standard, Deluxe, or Ultimate Edition of Vessel of Hatred DLC then the following 2 items gets added to their Microsoft account:
Vessel of Hatred - Expansion Pack
Vessel of Hatred - Standard Pack

However, when a user purchases the ‘Expansion Bundle’, only 1 item is added:
Vessel of Hatred - Expansion Pack

The ‘Standard Pack’ doesn’t get added. You can check this out by going to the Microsoft/Xbox store and looking at where it says “in this bundle” on each product page.

I believe this might be why the in-game store is showing that the Standard version is missing and won’t allow any cosmetic purchases. This issue only affects people who’ve purchased the Expansion Bundle as all other versions of Vessel of Hatred include the ‘Standard Pack’.

Therefore a possible solution is for Blizzard and Microsoft to make sure the ‘Standard Pack’ is added to the Expansion Bundle, the same as if it was purchased separately. This seems to be an oversight when it was set up in the Microsoft Store.

Thank you for the information.
As is today no changes have been made. Let’s hope the fix it soon.

Managed to sort this out, but it wasn’t easy! Contacted Blizzard several times to alert them to this issue but they told to me to contact Microsoft support. Eventually I was able to speak to someone at Microsoft who understood the issue and was able to add the missing license/pack to my account. Restarted the game and it worked!

In short, the Expansion Bundle, at the moment, is incomplete. It doesn’t contain “Vessel of Hatred - Standard Pack”. It only contains the “Vessel of Hatred - Expansion Pack”. This results in Diablo IV thinking you don’t own the “Standard Edition” of the DLC and therefore won’t allow you to purchase Spiritborn cosmetics.

Hopefully Blizzard will, at some point, correct this for everyone who purchased the Expansion Bundle, so they end up with the same “pack” as those who bought the DLC separately.

It’s look like for me need to contact with Play station store support…
But also strange for me because I bought VoH via in game store and in my play station store in the history it’s nothing bought these buying.

Had same/similar issue where when I open the game I can’t choose Spiritborn, and when I click to learn more it says it’s unlocked. But when I click purchase button it brings be back to unlocked screen.

After reading a comment above, searching for “Vessel of Hatred” in the Xbox store, and choosing the expansion itself in the list (not bundle), it said I owned it and I could manually click install myself there. No need to contact Microsoft support.

That’s exactly what happened, I contacted Microsoft and they manually put the standard version of the expansion in my account and the problem was solved.

had to talk between microsoft and blizzard a few times, but finally someone at microsft understood the issue and gave me credit to purchase the standard version

How did you swing that? I went through 3 people and explained the issue 50 damn times it’s simple. The Expansion Bundle that includes D4 stabdard and VoH standard only downloads the VoH “expansion pack”. But the standard edition of VoH solo also included the “standard pack”, which is why our games think we don’t have it. WE DON’T. It doesn’t even download it.

All the people I talked to talked in circles until trying to get me to do a refund…but I have to go on the website and request it…OH AND IT’S BEEN OVER 14 DAYS SO NO REFUNDS!

I’m beyond peeved right now after dealing with them and having absolutely zero solution to a problem that is very clear and should be easy for their nerds to fix.

Took 2 more tries but I got my refund. Of course buyingbthe game and the dlc by themselves cost me an extra $15 or so more than the refund because it was a bundle…

After doing that and that one Standard Pack file downloading, that’s literally all it was missing,…now my issue is fixed.

It just cost me time stress and $15 bucks while blizzard pulled their pud.

That’s so wierd. I havent gotten anywhere bc customer service keeps telling me the version I bought is correct, it’s the standard version of the game plus the VoH expansion. I will try again tho!
