Is this a problem or a bug I should not have to buy a new computer to play this game anyone else have this problem if so how to fix it.
Basic troubleshooting here:
Update your drivers
Scan and Repair the game using the Cog Wheel on the battle.net app
Disable Overclocking
Close any background applications (literally anything that isn’t D4)
Disable Overlays and/or any 3rd party software you may have running
If that doesn’t work a reddit poster had this to say:
For anyone who has 2 graphics cards (ex: an intel onboard card that comes baseline with your pre-built and an NVIDIA card which you actually use as your GPU), I was getting this error even after updating to the most recent NVIDIA drivers and couldn’t even start the game. To fix it, I had to go into device manager, open display adapters and disable my onboard Intel card and now it works. Guess for some reason the game was trying to open on the Intel card. Hope this helps some of you.

Disabling integrated video was automatic on my Asus motherboard w/ intel Z690 chipset (GPU = EVGA RTX2080ti) . I’m surprised it’s not a standard feature on other chipsets.
