I originally preordered the standard edition, then decided to upgrade to the ultimate on PS5 to access early launch. I’ve been playing since late Thursday, but while all my friends received the preorder bonus horse and armor, I don’t have it listed as available at all.
I’m wondering if this was possibly caused by the fact that I upgraded the preorder? But if that’s the case, how can this be fixed? Any ideas?? Anyone else with this (minor but still irritating) issue?

The horse and it’s armor should show up in the stable. You will be able to use them once you reach a later point in the game. I believe I saw it open up at Act 4. The way you upgraded should not stop the items from being delivered. As always double check your purchase to make sure it was successful.
I’m level 51. I have access to horses and the stable. The mount and horse don’t appear. Clearly my preorder purchase went through, as I’m playing the game with early access. 
I did the exact same thing and mine isnt showing up either. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and it did nothing. The game also seems to launch in the standard version even tho it shows in the store that i purchased the ultimate version upgrade and i cant figure out how to fix it and no one seems to have any answers on this.
It’s frustrating that others had this same issue and largely the only answer is “well that shouldn’t happen”. Maybe it shouldn’t, but it did and I’d like a fix for it. The preorder bonus stuff isn’t even that great, but I paid for it and would like access to what was paid for.
I’m in the same boat. Preordered the same way you did on Playstation, bought the standard and then upgraded. All my other friends got the mount and armor, I’ve got nothing.
I can confirm mounts become available at the start of act 4. A bit of an annoying design choice, as I ended up rushing act 1 to 3, to get the mount…
For any PS5 user missing the Pre-Order items, do this from the PS5 home screen:
Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Restore Licenses.
On the next load, your items will be present.
