I was wondering if going forward (past s11) if the prankster map affix would be something rare to find on map sigils or if this is only a s11 feature?
I only ask since my real life buddies are older and hearing them giggle and scream like little kids that just got a brand new toy at Christmas when they got to loot not 1 but 5 mythics each was the purest joy of all diablo for them.
Up to this season, neither of them got a mythic. Also they never got to max level or even paragon 100 (I boosted them a few minutes with some lair bosses to get them ready to live in a wt4 prankster).
I’m just wondering if this prankster sigil can stay to make the older non-streamer people have a chance at a Christmas joy feeling even if its very very rare in the future.

Didn’t play the PTR, but hopefully this stays. Didn’t seem like it was a seasonal only thing. It wasn’t even mentioned in the patch notes either.

the ptr mythics werent 100% 1ga items. Many of the mythic items were still item level 800 but had zero ga on them. I think I had 2 mythics total that were ga and that was me claiming mythic chests from the goblin in town (which drops all mythic in 1 chest) - it took over 100 chests with multi mythics in each chest to make 2 of them ga items
They are very rare so I don’t see the harm in keeping them in the game. This season even with the thousands and thousands of sigils I farmer I only got 1.

I think if it doesn’t stay this go round it will find it’s way back.
The Prankster Sigils are not easy to find despite the hundreds of keys dropping from the chests at Azmodan. I can imagine them being almost non-existent next season once we lose the benefit of the seasonal mechanisms.
I still believe that 5 Mythics plus a Spark just for killing a Goblin is too much.

I also wonder if someone were to keep a prankster sigil and the season ends, if that prankster map would go poof or if clicking on it in eternal would it even work or if the goblin doesnt even drop anything

I tried to craft one when PTR was ending but the servers went down before I could get one if it even was possible. Crafted roughly 1000 sigils and got like buckets loads of butcher sigils, each of which I checked and got plenty of Treasure Breach and Hidden Armory, but no Prankster.
I did see someone saying they saw it on PTR though so dunno if I was just really unlucky. Cause in S11 you could get prankster while crafting.
You actually got more sigils on PTR than from Azmodan rank 5. It was nuts. Like one helltide boss event would give you 10. Almost every elite dropped one.
I crafted one on eternal. It took about 400 sigils. I grabbed 3 randoms, since the OP that didn’t get a spark in the lunar event never responded.
I don’t actively seek them. I just wanted to do a kindness for someone. Anyhow a new Paladin, Necromancer, and rogue got some free mythics.

But I don’t think that mechanically a Bloodied sigil can be a Mythic Prankster sigil.
It’d be nice though, maybe there’s a Mythic Butchers sigil

Eh they didn’t exist for me in S11, so i’m not holding my breath to see one in the future.
i finished the season journey and reached my pit peak on 2 characters, along with 2 underdeveloped characters and never saw a prankster sigil… i got enough mythics without it though.
absolutely agreed. It was kinda fun to go a little nuts with the seasonal sanctification, but i really wouldnt want it to be that strong if it makes it into the base game.

Here comes the anti-fun police to tell us that having fun is not permitted. WTF is wrong with you people? Considering the low drop rates for mythics (even on t4) the drop rate for these were not good. All of s11, I’ve gotten 2 on multiple chars. Given that mythics now have randomized stats, they should actually make them permanent and increase the drop rates a bit more (not by much) on NMD sigils or hordes.
I don’t think it’s too much, given the base rarity of a prankster sigil. The rarity was broken by S11 mechanics, but it’ll normalize without lesser evil gifts.
It’s not “just for killing a goblin”… it’s basically winning the lottery and you redeem your ticket by killing the goblin.
As someone who didn’t get one and doesn’t expect to ever see one, i don’t mind if someone else gets an armload of mythics. They’re really not that special.

Im all over season I just got one.
The other mythics I got were from tormented bosses and tribute of ascendance, which I think they had a very nice drop ratio. that is something positive that shall be permanent

i mean in theory id agree with you, but since you can buy yourself a spot in those runs, or just do a rotation, its not so much “winning the lottery”.

Well there won’t be so many to go around when S11 isn’t boosting the ability to find them… which means the people who get them will be lucky or grind their fingers bloody to try to craft one… and the people who buy a spot will be paying a lot more for it.
Again i don’t think mythics are special enough for a lot of hand-wringing. If they were harder to get, they wouldn’t be special enough to be a 1:1mil drop.
