Portal crashing .. with so many loading screens each one can be a death trap, Is this how they build suspense?

New patch has lead to an increase of disconnects again seemingly exacerbated by portaling long distances ?? but fairly inconsistent in its appearance. Disconnects mid "step - based " quests (do one step which leads to another step and all must be completed in one run) are particularly frustrating. I have been holding out for D4 and mostly like it and love some parts but these disconnects are leading me to no even bother trying to play… especially season. I understand “hiccups” and “burps” for a game launch and what not but these problems once fixed return the following patch… something seems broke in the development / roll -out cycle.
