I just read an article about a recent interview with Rod…
I’ve never wanted anyone to lose their job as much as I do right now. This is the reason this game is still unfinished and absurdly broken over a year and a half later…
Rod has to go before he does any more damage to this franchise.
I’m done until he’s gone. Sucks, S7 seems like it could be fun and minions might actually be good again… hard to tell with how broken everything in PTR is… 0% summon damage lol… I had planned to beg for the occult gems to stay as a peace offering to ppl who want to play eternal, but this game doesn’t even deserve that chance. Lose Rod.
Only once Rod is gone will I give this game another chance.
It’s so incredibly sad that you let this man squander so much of the good will this franchise had… for what? Short term gains?
…in my innocence, inquired if we could expect a similar gap to the next expansion or if it was an “it’ll be ready when it’s ready” situation. Big mistake.
“[That] phrase is a pet peeve of mine,” Fergusson said. “I hate the phrase ‘it’s ready when it’s ready.’ When I first came to Blizzard, somebody put a slide up that had that on there, and I went, ‘Nope! You’re deleting that.’ And they were like, ‘What are you talking about?’ I’m like, ‘That’s not how I make video games.’”
Yes, none of this it’s ready when it’s ready nonsense. It’s ready before it’s ready. Like going back to the future to change the past. Revolutionizing game design one bit of bullet time at a time.
I’m joking of course. Or am I? Oh hell, let’s leave it as a mystery.
I don’t usually blame one person for a product a company puts out…but the lack of direction and the constant poor decisions do point to him being the problem.
I’ve been saying he needs to be fired for quite some time now. I don’t say this lightly. As a person I wish good things for him. As his current position however? He does not deserve it.
People act like he personally gets involved with every detail and sits on on every decision and personally rejects pull requests if it’s not exactly as he wants.
The reality of it is as a producer his main concern is managing the budget and making sure things get delivered on time. He’s the one that interacts with company leadership. But he’s also the one that interacts with the media so he’s the one that gets the beat and also the idiots calling for his job.
