Poll: do NM100 dungeons give better loot?

Since Blizzard won’t disclose this information, let’s hold a poll:

  • Yes if you feel like NM100 gives better loot than previous NM tiers
  • No if you feel like it doesn’t

Personally, I can’t tell. I think NM100 gives loot that is, for example, better than NM50 loot by about 20 item levels but I can’t be sure.

I wonder how many ppl on the forums have actually successfully completed a level 100 nightmare dungeon…

I’m sure a few have, but I bet not many. And of those that did, I’m sure it was mostly with a stacked group. Anyone actually pulled it off solo?

Regarding Ancestral drop rate, it depends on mob lvl (and NM tier by extension).

i found about 70-80 is a good sweet spot for speed farming max gear

I just power farm haunted refuge over and voer and have gotten about 10 uniques in half a day.

Higher tiers are not worth running. I completed a nm100 yesterday a couple of times. They take way longer to do than a tier 50-80 would, and the drops aren’t sufficiently different that the increase in time it takes to complete the dungeon results in more ancestral items. In fact, it results in less because you are doing less runs per hour. Unless nm 100 dungeons and uber lilith offered an actual chance to find uber uniques, there is no reason to do either. They are just time sinks.

Sounds like NM Dungeons might work a lot like greater rifts in D3. Just grind out GR 90 to get it all. I’ll just take a stab and say NM 55 is the sweet spot.
