I have 2 poison creepers and they just wander around aimlessly, hoping to run into something. In D2, my poison creeper actually chases down mobs to poison. Please do the right thing here, Blizzard.
errm, I actually feel poison creepe was a bit overpowered when you pair it with the double landslide and cooldown.
the passives on all companions are utter dogsht, they need to be buffed by like 500% (no exageration) to make their damage anywhere near relevant
Poison Creeper was one-shotting until about lv 30 for me. That was without tje aspect. It does start to fall behind in scaling, but Landslide made up for it.
I was just lvling my druid yesterday, clearing the curator capstone at 42. It was a hard fight and poison creep was always my go to for ridiculous damage.
Now in WT3 after some gearing up, it still is my best damage skill. Might change my build soon after getting some crucial gear for Tornado or pulverize.
I just leaned into it fully by WT3. Autocrit Landslide with Motes, 2x Landslide, and Druid power to reset Creeper CD. Hit 80 and called it a day on my Druid and went back to Necro fir S1. I’ll probably go back to Druid in S2.
All the companion abilities need major work, but so does a lot of this game.
The fact that they actually said they never intended for companion abilities to be used just blows my mind and tells you everything you need to know about their ability to fix this broken mess of a game
FFS they didn’t state that. I swear to Lilith that Diablo 4 forum posters will twist anything devs say to an immediate negative to support their own biases.
What they said was they didn’t intend Companions to be used as a stand-alone build, ala the zookeeper fantasy.
They were intended to augment other builds with some additional damage, protection, or condition application. If you notice, all Companions offer either status effects, protection, or damage.
If they intended zero use, Unique items like Storm’s Companion that grant Wolves Storm Howl ability wouldn’t exist.
Not sure if you’re naive or ignorant, but thinking that the existence of a unique means anything in a game full of worthless uniques and aspects is some really low IQ stuff.
Also lol at thinking “Diablo 4 forum posters” are the problem and the game is actually flawless. Being a cheerleader for this mess of a game has to be a full time job at this point
I think the ignorance is yours by misquoting a developer. Then when called out on it - you double down with insults.
You didn’t even refute a single thing I stated, because you can’t. It’s not just ONE Unique, but several Uniques and Aspects in the Druid arsenal, as well as Paragon abilities. Things like Wolves, Creeper, and Raven all add abilities and synergies to the Druid.
The Companion abilities weren’t meant to act alone and become a build in and of themselves. Should they? That’s another conversation. The fact that you don’t hear and understand what was said, or comprehend how the game actually plays out tells me you are the ignorant one.
First off, I never stated the game was flawless. You’re assuming and putting words in other people’s mouths. Seems like you’ve got a bad habit of that!
Secondly, I’ll narrow down “diablo 4 posters” to just you. YOU are the problem by misquoting and misrepresenting what the devs stated.
lol yeah I’m the reason Diablo 4 is a completely dead game that now has less Twitch viewers in total than a bunch of games I’ve never even heard of.
That and you trying to move the goalposts repeatedly when you get embarrassed for being proven wrong is just sad. Do they pay you to cheerlead this hard for a dead game? Because even if they’re not, it’s still too much for how terrible you’re doing ![]()
So let’s unpack: you start by misquoting a dev. You get called out on it how you are wrong with supporting evidence. Instead of admitting your mistake, then you double down, THEN gaslight.
You do the exact thing you accuse others of - moving goalposts by claiming
Yet… That has ZERO to do with your initial thesis that Druid Companions were never meant to be used is flat-out, 100% incorrect.
Again - Devs never said this. They said Druid Companions weren’t meant to be a build in and of itself, ala the zookeeper fantasy. And they aren’t. Companions are supplementary abilities for other builds.
You are a classic narcissist, accusing others of exactly what you yourself are doing.
Nah, I’m right they said what I said they did. You’re here mashing F5 raging out after I embarrassed you ![]()

Usually lighting someone up like this would make me feel guilty, but you deserve it so I guess you’re gonna have to learn to deal with it ![]()
Oh? Link the exact quote. I’ll wait…
Wait all you want. I’m not your monkey and I don’t take orders from you.
You should probably just take your L instead of digging your hole deeper and deeper
It’s your accusation on what you claim the devs stated. Where is it? Burden of proof is on you. Can’t back up what you claim with an actual quote? How narcissistic of you!
Says the person thinking this is about them. This isn’t debate club and I don’t owe you anything.
Be a crazy stalker all you want, but you’ll never be important to me. Deal with it
Show the quote where devs stated this. Show your source.
poison creeper is one of the highest damage skills a druid has. how can you be arguing for a buff of this skill? this has to be a troll post who knows nothing about the class
I’ve got to the point that I just put the idiot trolls on ignore. Trying to talk intelligence to someone who lacks any is a waste of time.
